They can only be bought in usa at Tiffany's thats if you are big vip spender
Tackiest thing I’ve seen to come out of patek ever.
The nautilus in general has turned into a bit of a meme and this doesn’t help. If I were given the option to buy one at list on the basis I could never sell it I’d pass as I just don’t really see the appeal.

The nautilus is beautiful with a blue or grey dial. I'm not really a fan of the dark green, but this one is just hideous.
Really glad I don’t see the attraction of the Tiffany blue dial, be it Patek or Rolex

Doesn't look that great on social Media

The patek is a nice homage to the pastel halios seaforth
I'm sure Didun will have an homage out within a day or two...

Jim.
It’s official. Tiffany has invented the colour Turquoise.
I guess it’s the new trendy colour. Here’s Undone’s offering.
That shade of blue has been bubbling under for a year or two with quite a few watches available sporting it.
Personally I quite like the colour but don;t think it suits the Nautilus. Overall I prefer the 'Bucherer Blue' collection. A lot more refined and less 'influencer' that said I'm jumping on the bandwagon with a 'lighty bluey' Seestern as an xmas prezzie so I have no legs to stand on.
Pedant hat on! Tiffany blue is Pantone 1837 its trademarked to them, so you can use similar shades, but NOT Tiffany blue or youre in deep kimchi.
(cadburys has also trademarked their purple)
*had also trademarked their purple.
$5.3m
We’ll there we have it 1st auction done. I wonder what the secondary price will settle at….

The expression “ Im gobsmacked” has never been more appropriate!
I can’t remember the exact figure (16 or 17 million $’s from memory) but Paul Newman’s watch, as in the one he wore, at just over 3 times the price of this now seems like a bargain :-)
Insane amounts but this was also a charity auction so could be elevated prices?
Just a question.
If said watch was then brought into the UK would VAT be payable on the 6 million auction price or 52K which is the retail price?
The full value paid would be the correct value to use. Technically it would be the value declared on the shipping paperwork for customs purposes, which in theory can be whatever you choose. But I would presume for insurance you want to declare it at the full value paid. I’m assuming there likely would also be some customs duty payable on watches. It would not be a cheap import!

From what I understand, there are two aspects to the ‘sales price’, of this watch. One is benefit to the charity and the second is the near equally tax deduction, available to certain entities.
Both massively positive to certain buyers and with the apparent tax deduction, cost neutral too .
the rrp is irrelevant, it's just a number. The taxable amount is the amount paid, shown on the receipt from the retailer.
it does concern me when people say that the amount shown on the customs invoice can in theory be whatever you choose. That's called tax evasion and is illegal. Quite strange that people in the UK seem to condemn those in the public eye who contravene rules and then openly discuss doing the same.
I can't say for certain in this case as it will be US law but in the UK a tax deduction simply means an amount that can be deducted from the total amount subject to tax. It doesn't mean the full amount is deducted from tax, simply that the tax (19 percent typically) isn't applied to that amount.
Back on topic, I really like the Tiffany watch. Far out of my budget but I still like it.
Just to be clear, my comment above was in no way intended to imply one *should* undervalue an item being imported. My point was more a practical one because I think often people don’t understand anything about how customs works. The fact of the matter is that customs won’t have any clue as to the retail price of the watch ($50k), or what was paid ($6.5m); the value needs to be declared, and any import VAT/customs duty assessed will be based on the declared value. As I noted, the correct value to use would be the value that was paid - which is certainly what you would want to use for insurance purposes.

all we need is Hublot supreme watch..
This looks awful. You'd think it's fake but it's not.

Guess we now know the answer to that question.
Makes you think some of these brands take bets amongst one another. Who can come out with the most ugly eyesore of a watch and fools will not only buy it but pay several times over retail for it.
Must be hard assembling a watch over there through the tears of laughter.
Man - that colour is yuk. Think will leave that to the ladies
Last few weeks has gone from nuts to super nuts with anything Nautilus / Aqua and Daytona
I take C24 with a pinch of salt but god knows what the hell my 5711 and 5167 will be by the time I'm back in the UK mid year.
It looks as though the original buyer backed out.

^ Whatever you think of the watch, great for the charities. [I like the guy's style, shouting out his bids, from the front, in his jeans, trainers and overcoat - before he bailed at $5m.]
