Thanks. Yes we do this. Leave it on percent and forget about it.

However, I was interested to know miles from a charge kind of like the old days of resetting the counter on full tank of fuel. We charged to 100% for the first time recently so was keen to know how close to the apparent 360 we get. Am expecting about 200-250 which would be good enough. But we shall see.

Have now figured it out, there is a display which shows ‘since last charge’ on one of the trip computers. You access by swiping right from the traffic screen (not sure if that is the correct word for it but I mean the screen which shows the car and all the traffic and traffic lights etc!)

Never connected the car to WiFi yet so that will be the next job!

Not got anything to add to the info as I pick up next week.
A question for those who already have theirs, who are you insured with?
I’m being told by my existing insurer that they won’t quote and the online quotes so far are pretty hefty!
    Thanks!

Cheapest for most people will be Peugeot Insurance although I'm with direct line as Peugeot wouldn't insure my wife as a new driver.

It's not the performance that's the issue.

To be fair she drove the Velar for a year here and has some 20 years driving experience in Thailand including some rather tasty motorbikes so not an issue for her - she drives it like a Granny whereas I'm the one who drives it like I stole it! :)

I’m on 2021.44.6 and no blind spot cameras pop up for me when indicating. Can’t see anything in settings to toggle. Anyone else?

You can now automatically see a live camera view of your blind spot whenever you activate the turn signal. To enable, tap Controls > Autopilot > Automatic Blind Spot Camera.
Didn’t see it there but will check in half an hour when I’m back in the car.

Nope not here yet. Maybe because I don’t have any paid autopilot package? Maybe it will pop up later.

All 5 seats on and 27 degrees?!

Ours was set to 24.5 earlier and told my wife if she does that again she’s walking. 22 is enough or 23 if it’s baltic.

I recall the Velar, but didn't realise the 20yrs plus bikes....I was imaging 1 year of experience and then a Tesla!

44.6 was just a bug fix, 44.25 is the kiddy we are all waiting for.

Two new tyres today on the rear at 18k miles which I thought was pretty good given the power and the torque.

Car was being an asshole this am. Dog was screaming in pain and I got into the model 3 to quickly shoot across to the vets. But couldn't move because the bloody software was installing so had to sit there for 10 minutes with a yelping dog and the sodding Uber drivers wouldn't take a dog. Livid

    Dog has probable slipped disc

Sorry to hear that Ryan, and hope your dog is feeling better soon! In case you are in that situation again, I believe you can halt the update through the app on your phone? As it was updating for me this morning, that was certainly an option that showed in my app.

Thanks. It had downloaded already and was applying the update and you can't stop once the update is being applied (takes 25 mins)

In which case, my post wasn't helpful at all - apologies. Indeed, that is very annoying, having two young kids I'll need to consider when I do the update carefully to avoid any issues should I urgently need to use the car. Appreciate the heads-up!

As for your dog, if indeed it was a slipped disc, once you are back from the vet (who will treat the pain very efficiently) book an appointment with a vet who does osteopathy. It is spectacular how your dog will react to it

Sorry to hear about the mutt fella.

You can set to not auto download and you can ask to do manually or even schedule later.

Just to reassure, most EVs don’t do this, it’s a Tesla thing, and you can stop them auto installing anyway.

Not the same emergency situation, but my wife paused hers to go and fetch the Turkey. Phew!

Ah no worries at all and is a bit of an oversight for sure on the part of Tesla - why not have the update install at 3am or something instead of at a busy time in the morning

3AM might be the time you need the car as well?

Ours has never installed an update without asking, did you ok it via the App or something without realising?

Hope the dog is ok anyway, they’re family too!

Sorry to hear about your dog Ryan. I have had to accept the update to install (not download) with a warning that the car will be unavailable.

The latest update is a huge change! I am guessing this doesn’t happen very often and the blind spot cameras are amazing!!!

Changes the car all over again just when we were getting used to it !

Sorry to hear about the dog Ryan, that must have been quite brutal in the moment.

No update here yet, says I’m up to date, but I’ve just managed to find a space in front of the house so have parked outside and connected to wifi. Will see if I get the alert on my phone later.

After a fly round today the update is indeed very good and a lot of the info on the rh screen is back to where it was previously which is great.

The sub setting is amazing and Elon has played with the sound for sure.

Fonts are a lot nicer and the screen in general is a lot sharper and definitely quicker.

No update here still but the range on my app will only show recently as percentage or km when it was previously in miles. In the car it’s still in miles but can’t get that option in the app.

Our M3 switched to km earlier as well, switched it back to miles, but seems to be a precursor to the big update which ours has now downloaded and installed.

Haven’t had a play with it, but by all accounts it’s a good update.

Always worth a ‘reset’ after an update in my experience, hold both wheel buttons down and the brake pedal until the main screen reboots.

    Tesla Info Thread.

Back to miles for me again too after the app update but my car now shows as Model 3 Standard Range Plus rather than simply Model 3 which is how it was since a day or two after getting it.

Still no software update. Car says it’s up to date.

My app now displays miles and not Km after an update.

No Tesla update for me on the car.

I've always had my battery life displayed as % as mileage is wholly arbitrary anyway.

App updated now and I’ve enabled live view from sentry. Absolutely wetting myself earlier making fart noises from the sofa while my wife was getting some stuff out of the car. She came in raging which made it even funnier.

The new update might be better over time for me, but it was a bit of a shock when I had to nip out to the garage for some emergency Xmas toy batteries.

It's the equivalent of someone moving around all your dashboard instruments and controls and not telling you where anything is.

Still can't find the DAB radio.

How do you do the fart noises via app? I have a microphone function so could do the noise with my mouth but no option to set the boombox preselected sounds via the app for me (android)
