And I don’t believe it would fool many into thinking it’s a Rolex.

What are your thoughts on Eddie’s watches, like the Everest? Do you think it is made to deceive and fool WIS into thinking they have an Explorer?
Ginault has nowhere near the horological credentials that Eddie has built, but again if it doesn’t say Rolex it’s not a fake.

Aren’t Ginault watches (infamously) made in same factory (and from the same cases) as certain ‘superfakes’?

This is my understanding. Would not touch one with a barge pole.

Let’s be honest, if you could buy for instance a “fake” new Landrover Discovery that was a tenth of the price but 75% of the original we’’d all buy one.

Any missing apostrophe is because Tapatalk is shite!

In China, the cheapest full-size Range Rover costs 1.22 million yuan, or $173,000 at current exchange rates. By comparison, the Canticie will start at just 126,800 yuan ($18,042),which makes it way more affordable for local customers.

I am pretty sure Top Gear with CH&M disproved this a few years ago.

    Isn't it a homage?

Why are cars and watches different?

Surprisingly it was nine years ago, and maybe, like the fake watches they have since got 'better'.

I have no doubt they have, but I am not sure there is much incentive to make them ‘properly’ better as it is only for their internal market.

Production of the Chinese Landwind ceased 2 years ago after a Beijing Court ruled them an infringement of copyright.

That will be a huge limiting factor on their aspirations to be sure.

Do you think it would have 75% of the breakdowns a genuine Land Rover would have?? If so, I'd definitely have one.

Oh...another tangent! We can now argue whether the forthcoming Ineos Grenadier Land Rover look-a-like is a Hommage or a copy!
