    JLC Polaris Bracelet Built-in Adjustment

    I thought that I’d post this in case it helps anyone in the future because I wasn’t aware until this week, but the Polaris bracelet has a very neat built in ‘micro?’ adjustment.

    I’d always noticed that there is a notching to the side of the bracelet adjacent the clasp but for the life of me couldn’t work out why. I suspected it would allow a slight lengthening but couldn’t quite see how. I even popped into the JLC boutique in Harrods to ask but I think I got someone either on
    A) work experience
    B) not interested
    C) pathological fibber
    Because they told me outright that it didn’t have one.

    Anyway, fast forward a couple of months and a review of the watch popped up on YouTube in which they confirmed the adjustment. The final half link is folded into the clap and can therefore be folded out! (Without any tools!!) A couple of millimetres can be gained both sides of the clasp.

    Well imagine the trumpets announcing my unbound joy! Christmas has come early! That ever so slight breathing room that my wrist has been asking for is now available!

    It’s a really good selling point that I’ve never seen JLC mention, in all the pouring over press guff that I’ve spent the last few years doing!

    I’ve tried to capture it in some rubbish photos but I think that once you know it’s there it’s really actually straightforward.

    Anyway it pleased and amused me so thought others might feel the benefit.

    The watch in question;

    Bracelet extended;

    Bracelet in original position;

    Good find! I assume you can extend one side only if you don't need both?

    I have the Polaris chrono with the same bracelet, the clasp adjustments are a godsend.

    Yes I agree. It was a slight bugbear with the watch, but one that I could live with because I love it in every other way, but this is now the icing on the cake. My poor other watches aren’t getting a look in!

    Stunning watch by the way!!

    Thanks, I prefer it to my Daytona. The lack of a running second hand is great, it stops me getting to anal about the timekeeping.
