Seamaster 300 homages

Chatting to my step dad yesterday, who had ventured to London with mum for the first time in about 20 years, and he discovered Burlington arcade.
He was raving about the Seamster 300’s and said he would love something like that with a manual wind, which is really unlike him to want anything, that doesn’t have four wheels and more rust than paint.
Not being in a position to splash out on an original for him, does anyone make a nice homage to the 300 with a manual wind?

Not in manual wind as far as I am aware.
Helson make a good looking homage and the quality will be fantastic.

Mkii does an apparently decent one. I’ve had a Mkii (not the model you are after) and it was great quality.

I know there is a price difference (considerable) but the original is one of the best looking diver watches ever made.
It wears surprisingly modern for a vintage watch

The originals didn’t, the Niad crown was a push pull not screw down.

Was still an auto though.
Can spot the niad crown as it’s less domed than the screw down (mine has the niad - see picture) most had crowns replaced with screw down at some point though

I think the OP would be doing well to find a PRS14 but it is a fantastic watch. The other option would be a Borealis Estoril 300. These come up on SC from time to time and can occasionally be found on eBay but again may be a difficult one to find.

I have the Helson homage to the Eberhard Scafograf, it uses their SM300 case, but with a unique gilt dial and hand set.
I can vouch for the quality, it's excellent. I am also a big fan of it being sold with drilled lugs and a set of shoulderless springbars.
D
