Just heard this news, very sad. Always hoped that his team would one day enjoy again a bit of the success they had in the '80s, but it wasn't to be.

I recorded this documentary to a VHS tape back in 1981 or so. Unfortunately my brother taped over it, but happily it turned up on YouTube a few years ago. Quite poignant to see Sir Frank out jogging.

What a sad day for motor racing. Built a great Formula One team against the odds. Will be missed by many.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Sad to hear this news. I too hoped Williams would find themselves back at the front of the grid. RIP.

Terribly sad news. I hope that in selling the team, his family had more time to spend with him.

What very sad news. He achieved so much before and after his terrible accident. What a tremendous life!

What a great man, and so influential despite , and maybe , because of, a terrible accident.

F1 will never have a team-maker like him again.

A very sad loss to motorsport and a pioneering spirit. The last of the independent teams and a huge proponent for engineering in this country. Let’s not forget that as well as an incredibly successful F1 team, he founded Williams Advanced Engineering. RIP Sir Frank.
