    Omicron?

I knew that I had seen the name Omicron before. I used to have an Omicron watch. Does that mean that I will be immune to it? :)

It just means "small zero". I wouldn't worry about it.

They should have called it the " you need to be double jabbed all over again " varient instead. As soon as they prove the jab doesnt work well at all on it they will have new jabs ready in 100 days i read.

    Big O = Omega

    Little O = Omicron

    Short "o"

Omega is the long "o" (ō). Hence "Oh-mega"

So if we eventually get an Omega variant, will Omega watches see it as a Marketing triumph or disaster? Out goes Ambassador Clooney, in comes a global pandemic causing virus!

If a 24th variant is reached then Omega will sue the virus for breach of copyright.

You made me dig out this:

Unfortunately it has a chrome plated case which saw better days, but the military style dial isn't bad and the logo on case back is pretty cool.

A recurring character in The Barchester Chronicles is Sir Omicron Pie. He is a (ficticious, obviously) eminent Harley Street surgeon.
I feel that I should point this out as iirc he does not appear in the first two volumes, so I am possibly the only person alive to have stayed awake long enough to have encountered him.

Do you think that the chaps on the other Covid thread would appreciate me spreading to them this little-known literary trifle?

These are common over here. Unitas or FHF Inside.

    Nice watches.
