One of my heroes and a hell of a Centre
Surprisingly humble considering the stories of him in his playing days.
Thanks for posting.
A quick retrospective.

I recall my first girlfriend bought me one of the old style England rugby shirts very many years ago. She wasn't a rugby fan but just thought that I suited white. And I loved it.
Sadly it's long gone, and that type of rugby shirt just doesn't seem the be sold any longer.

The insurance company I used to do work for hired him to do a talk at the Wembley Arena I think in 1995. It was a bit of a PMA (positive mental attitude) talk and he was extremely impressive. Also seemed a genuinely lovely bloke.
Two things I’ve never forgotten to this day. Firstly he said that they had a game plan to get to the World Cup final in 1991 and realised afterwards that all their focus had been on getting there, with no real game plan for the final itself.
Secondly he said he always followed the ‘if not me then who, if not now then when’ attitude to everything. In other words someone is going to do it, why not make it me and more importantly do it now, not use excuses and wait. Not sure whether it was his saying or he just used it, but it was the 1st time any of us had heard and and since then I’ve heard it a few times.
