Recommend me a watchmaker for Panerai

    Hello TZ

My Pam388 Radiomir has stopped working all of a sudden and requires a service. It’s not winding as it should and the hour hand gets stuck between 10/11 whilst the minute hand just keeps going.

Any advice would be welcome in regards to wether I should send it to Panerai or go the route of an independent?

I’m based in London. Any recommendations for a watchmaker that you think would be better or as good as Panerai would be appreciated.

Thanks for your thoughts and recommendations in advance

Try ALSAL Watches, 226 Strand. Tim does all of my work and a damn fine job he does.

I sent my 351 back to Panerai. It was around £530 including case refinishing and they warrant the movement for 2 years.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll enquire with them shortly.

Which watches have they serviced for you in the past?

I was expecting it to be around £500 so no surprise there. The turnaround of 3 weeks sounds impressive though!
