I would spend most of it on women and booze. Anything left I would just waste.

  3. #3
I don't need to spend on women they pay me

Booze, already own shares in a brewery

    Try harder

    Cryptocurrencies for increasing that £8k.
The Rolex if I wanted to have something to show for it.

Second hand rolex - SS sports are where the real appreciation seems to be, but 8k hardly gets you started.
Bitcoin - Appears to be sound, but too hard to predict.
    Day trade - Hahahahahahaha (etc)
Tesla shares - Definitely worth a punt
Gold - Meh - may need another crisis to rattle things, but by far the most conservative.

In 12 months - not really very long to expect much of a return.

Buy up loads of shoes from charity shops and sell them on here.

If you want fairly safe but with better return than BTC I'd go Ethereum

I'd buy a 16610. In fact I did. From Haywood, so no questions about provenance etc.

    Invest 8k in WOSG shares

Order a 124060 from them same day

Wait 12 months cash in 1/2 so using the profit to buy the watch from them just as it arrives.

Retaining original stake of 8k and ending up with a 124060 on wrist

There is a clothes bank near where I live replete with a fine selection for the more sartorially advantaged and discerning gentle person. From the Jesus Sandal ( other prophets are available) to the Oxford, the UGG and the Urgh. All free to the dapper dumpster diver.

So dive the dumpster, keep the £8k.

Personally, I’m paying deposits on European watches with waiting lists so that as the Euro falls I get a discount.

Second hand rolex - feels like a bubble
Bitcoin - feels like a bubble
Day trade - if you know what to do, I don't
Tesla shares - feels like a bubble
Gold - even if the bubble bursts the whole things a fix, so will probably somehow go down

    I may be a pessimist.

Interesting, are you riding the recent price increases for that profit or is the price rises built into increased bidding?

The Damian Hirst Currency project did well. They gave every owner another Hirst artpiece (Drake album cover) yesterday as a suprise. Maybe look into that if you want a decent artist and music related piece.

Owners got these yesterday so expect volatility in the prices short term.

    Triple-leveraged Tesla shares.

Question is whether long or short.

Not sure why we are discussing this, get a brand new kermit at retail, flip it for £18k the following day, job done.

3x leveraged tech ETF. Volatile short term but should be ok over the course of a year.

I can’t see Rolex increasing more than another 10-20%. Bitcoin is anyone’s guess and gold isn’t exciting enough

    Haters gonna hate.
I wish I had the foresight to pick one up, most of the nft projects I've bought into haven't taken off, but who cares. If you enjoy the art/pfps/community then it doesn't matter.

Good for you Leo! Would love to know what you have picked up :)

Yes atm it's very silly with these animal jpegs but has been a pretty lucrative part of crypto this year. The OP asked for places to punt 8k (and it is an extreme punt!) so I think this is an area to keep an eye on. The potential in NFTs is there for sure and big brands are beginning to take notice, esp with FB on the metaverse. I personally think the gaming space is going to be very popular so worth looking into that. Read up on Axie Infinity for instance..
