I am yet to know not ONE single person to die of Covid, My uncle died of a heart attack, they put Covid on his death certificate and that is still an ongoing issue the family is dealing with.

I know of 4 people personally to take their own lives

I know at least 9 close friends of family to have lost their job during this.

Your figures may differ from mine, and if they do... that's fine.

You seem to be surrounded by a lot of tragedy/misery?

    Source for this please?

My own personal experience (posted earlier today) seems to demonstrate that vaccines are breaking the chains of transmission.

I’ve also worked all the way through this pandemic, including pre-jab when I was relying on masks and social distancing, I suppose that was a waste of time as well?

I can’t help but think that we’d be in a lot worse place if the majority of people hadn’t come forward and had the vaccines. Not sure what alternative approach you’re suggesting to be honest.

I wish the vaccinated would stop blaming the unvaccinated for this jab not working and open their eyes.

Its laughable how the government are screaming out to the unvaccinated to get vaccinated so they are safe, whilst at the same time telling the vaccinated that the jabs have not worked and you need a booster.. At what point will the penny drop, when the UK is 98% vaccinated and you've had your 9th booster. Do you truly believe this will be over, if you do.... That's worrying.
I’d also love to know the source of these stats!

Facebook maybe?.........what he's claiming makes absolutely no sense.

Vaccines aren’t the panacea some of us hoped, but they’re still the best game in town by a long way.

Anecdotally, I know lots of people who’ve had both jabs + booster and I don’t know anyone who’s had serious side- effects, that’s consistent with the statistics but as an objective piece if data it doesn’t add up to a hill of beans. By the same token, knowing more than one person who’s had a bad reaction isn’t statistically significant but it’s bound to provoke an emotive response.

You know those stats are completely made up! The share of the vaccinated population in the U.K. is only 67.9%. If you don’t count the under 18s you may get close to your figure with around 88% but seeing as unvaccinated kids are one of the biggest viral vectors going around then it makes the adult population figure pointless unless it is to make the Government feel good!

    Check for yourself on https://ourworldindata.org/covid-vac...ountry=GBR~DEU

Funny how all the clinical trial data and now the real world data shows much high efficacy than 8%. WHO would never accept a vaccine with less than 60% efficacy and it would never have been approved by the FDA or EMA. Would love to see the FB post source for that rubbish

There are more people double vaccinated than unvaccinated. There are more at risk people vaccinated than unvaccinated that is why quoting such figures as 70% is totally misleading and innumerate. You need to measure again their respective populations.

Finally, according to your method of measuring statistics I would recommend people stay away from you because you seem to drive a lot of bad luck, harm and misery in your immediate circle! Maybe you should considering isolating from your community!

My niece did. She’s young (18) and works with the elderly. She had it pre and post vaccine. She suffered a lot first time around. Didn’t feel great second time around but it was less severe.

Nonsense, the selfish unvaccinated sociopaths are taking up hospital beds that could be used by people who haven't brought their illness on themselves by ignorance and gullibility.

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-englan...shire-59405471

The vaccines have worked spectacularly well, and the mere fact that a booster is needed every few months to top up immunity is not evidence that important and valuable immunity is not provided in the first place. I'm sure this has gone over your head.

People who have had the sense and social responsibility to be vaccinated are carrying the gullible mouth breathers who are frightened of the jab. Without the vaccines the health service would have been overwhelmed, many more people would have died and we'd have had far greater restrictions imposed upon us.

You owe us a debt of gratitude you will never be able to repay.

    Got COVID!

As a doctor and a specialist in Emergency Med, all I will say is:

I’m double vaccinated and have had my booster

My wife is also an EM Consultant, and she is triple vaccinated

My advice would fairly emphatically be:

Have the vaccine, and the boosters too.

The people I see that are dying of respiratory failure are dominantly unvaccinated. It’s really not nice, being breathless, and with all the high tech tools at my disposal, I can’t oxygenate you. I would spare you that.

Vaccines aren’t perfect, but I wouldn’t hesitate, not for a moment. I don’t understand the anti-vax movement, but either they must be ill informed, or have motives, that I cannot understand, that drive their position.

Im sure all know one of them, I know I do, on the outside sounds like an intelligent person but the more they open their mouth you realise you’re dealing with a fruit-loop. Guy I know is full David Icke, believes in the reptilian elite, believes 5G is only being introduced to control the chips that will be implanted in our brains.
Covid isn’t nothing to worry about and anyone getting the jab needs their head read. All very scary stuff which you can’t believe is hitting your ears when it’s being regurgitated.

Anti-Vaxxer and Pro-Vaxxers all seem to have flaws in their arguments.

Clearly, having the vaccine reduces the chances of infection and serious symptoms if infected, so is generally a good thing, BUT there is no doubt that the vaccine tests were shortcut - Usually, these take years because they look for long term symptoms and that cannot have been done this time. As I understand it, the justification for this is that the vaccines are based on existing ones, but there is still a degree of risk in the vaccines.

Anti-Vaxxers seem happy to accept and repeat manifestly untrue statements (eg 70% of people in ICUs are double vaccinated - Well, no, simply the opposite is true, the majority have no or only one vaccination) - They are putting themselves at huge risk, but the vaccinated should still be at relatively little risk from them, so maybe the Pro-Vaxxers are over-egging the risk of not being vaccinated.

All studies, right from the start, have shown that the young are at very little risk from the virus (not ZERO, but little), so not vaccinating your children against COVID isn't child abuse.

Most sensible people have MMR these days, but the vast majority of people when the vaccines didn't exist really weren't massively affected by getting them (sure there are cases of people who were, but across the whole population it was a small percentage - It wasn't like TB, for example).

Anti-Vaxxers are NOT putting us all at risk, unless we listen to them and their concerns are NOT always baseless conspiracy theories.

For transparency, I've had two jabs and will have a 3rd because I want to get on with my life and I know life is full of risks.

They are in the sense that if they get more ill than the unvaccinated they are potentially draining NHS resources and clogging up the system for dealing with all the other ailments people have in life. It's not like we should or do refuse them treatment when they get Covid and need hospitalisation from it.

You could argue the same about motorcyclists, people who drink to excess or partake in any kind of extreme sport.

Where would you end the restrictions? Puritan Britain?

In the sense that you don't hear of ICUs full of bikers, drinker or climbers which seems to be (or have been) the case with Covid. And no I don't believe it puritan Britain.

And if a rock climber does hurt themselves and ends up in hospital, the other patients in the ward and medical staff won't "catch" rock climbing.

Vaccine trials weren't cut short. The technology part of the mRNA vaccines have been tested for 10 years, it is just the Covid-related parts that where developed from scratch. These have been tested for months on hundreds of thousands probants.

The unvaccinated are increasing risk for all others, whether vaccinated or not, by a factors >3. That is substantial and the main reason for the overflowing ICUs which we are seeing. If everybody was vaccinated the ICUs would have capacity. That is an indisputable fact.

The risk for children has been lower so far (compare the anecdotal reports of very high infection rates amongst toddlers for omnicron), but it is still bigger than the risk of contracting Covid. And there is still the societal effect, as long as we have pockets of holdouts amongst the adult population, we will never achieve the required quota of vaccinations to get on top of the virus without vaccinating children - which means that children will have to live with the virus much longer if they don't get vaccinated now, partly because the adults are not doing their part of the fight.

Anti-Vaxxers are NOT putting us all at risk, unless we listen to them and their concerns are NOT always baseless conspiracy theories.
For the resons above, I disagree.

    You are a liar.

You said that three of your friends aged 35-40 have had their health destroyed from taking the vaccine and that four people have taken their life because of Covid and that you know of no person who died from it. Every single of these statements is a lie.

You are also presenting fake watches as genuine. You are just a total fraud. And if this wasn't the G&D, I would tell you where you can go. And no, go there.

Unfortunately, his paragraph about short cuts in the Vaccine tests are completely wrong and his statements about anti vaxxers not putting anyone else at risk are wrong but apart from that all good!

i read that and think about where we would be if everyone was an anti-vaxxer and then ponder how it would look if everyone was really keen on getting vaccinated?

If you ever become big enough and adult enough to state the above to my face, i welcome it. But hiding being a screen calling me a liar on such serious events that have had such an impact on my life, just sums up the the person you are. Show me one ounce of evidence i have sold a fake watch as genuine, you can't... as i haven't i am going to leave this at this before my blood really boils over.

There are many members on here who know me personally, We have met in person, they know my personal life, and know me well. Not one of them will back your case that i am a liar and a fraud, i am one of the most loyal and trust worthy guys.

and IF any one, has something to say to me or a concern, then please please PM me and well discuss it like adults. Don't throw pure bull around a public forum thinking it makes you look the big man, its very embarrassing.

But more than embarrassing, you have took it personal but trying to shame me of things i haven't done and have no proof of, that over steps the line of public forum banter. Please do the right thing and reply to my PM. Ill say no more on this matter, just if ANYONE has an issue. Message me direct,

    Thanks

You are doing very well managing this. Sending me threats of violence via PM, like a big boi.

Would you like to show the ladies and gentleman the violence and threats i have sent, oh wait... you can't... as that's another lie.....

Asking for your number to speak to you is NOT violent, or a threat. So please..... stop with the lies.

How ironic you have this on the bottom of everything you type
"Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too."

    Irony at its finest.

Show evidence of this stuff you bad mouth me of, or keep quiet.

Looks pretty passive aggressive to me mate. Asking for a face to face so you can see how brave someone is - if you sent that to me and I agreed to meet you I’d be ready to rumble based on the tone of that.

Or in Central Belt parlance: "Ootside for a square-go, pal!"

    Nothing passive about it, really......................

Id also argue aggressive, differs to threats and violence..

I am aggressive that this random person who is to scared to PM me is spreading lies about my online, for sure.

Have i made threats against him, or been violent.

    Absolutely not.

I could laugh it off and ignore that some clown who don't know me is trying to bad name me, and im most circumstance that's would be my approach. But do it against such big events that have crumbled the family's of both my family and those so close to me.... I got to be honest mate i struggle to let that lie,

I don’t think this is doing you any favours. You won’t take it - but a word of advice would be to stop making it worse.
