Some great variety there for a Rolex collection! Out of interest, do 62 and 77 have particular significance (e.g. heirloom, birth year)? I'm still not man enough to carry off full gold.

    Rolex bashing

Nope I quite enjoy it, after collecting Rolex for over 25 years and owning so many great ones, I find it funny how they have become a bashing topic, they are just watches. As for six there are quite a few more watches in my collection that deserve a much attention from Sekonda to Panerai. I guess social media has messed up the hobby putting Rolex out of reach to so many collectors. It’s a shame.

I always get a pang of sellers remorse when I see a 16610lv. The one that got away.

A great varied Rolex collection, I would like another Lv but it would have to be a good one and they cost good money !! Sold my NOS version for £5K about 5yrs ago to fund an SdC so can’t complain really.

    A really nice collection.

The LV looks very different without cyclops.

If that was the case, some of the people on this forum would be positively suicidal, given the amount of people who are into double figures and beyond…. :-)

    Very nice collection there
I would have dismissed the Gold DD out of hand a couple of years ago but amazing how fashion and tastes can change.

Lovely collection! What happened to the cyclops on the LV? I assume you swapped the crystal?

I agree, so many people who HAVE to have a Rolex regardless of price... on the flip side your collection is worth a lot of money now granted you bought close to MSRP back in the day!

No that is a well rounded collection, probably a dream collection for many. You’ve got vintage, classic and modern covered.

That day-date is as old as me! Always fancied a birth year watch, but the price would be eye watering. Lovely collection.

As stated, I don’t like it.

If I bought it to flip I’ would have lost access to the watches I have on order /wish list when the buyer shows the serial number when they sell it. Too much hassle.

Position on the list is everything, the thought of losing one’s position is mortifying, too terrible to think about.

Being obsessed with Rolex ownership is about as desirable as a club foot.......another affliction I’ve been fortunate to avoid.

I would never flip either. This is why I have a Sub 40 ND and a Sub 41 ND — the 40 hasn’t even been worn 15 months. Not a brand I’d ever want to be blacklisted from.

I have a number of watches across a number of brands. I said I wanted a white face Daytona. I was offered a black face so declined. I also want a Breguet tradition in gold and an IWC perpetual in blue. I wouldn’t get a discount ( can’t remember the AD phrase for a discount) if I was flipping.

It’s not mortifying or terrible, it’s just I want a white face.

Not another bloody expression of interest list.

I’m reliably informed that due to GDPR issues Santa is no longer able to maintain a list due to the subjective nature of the naughty or nice determination.

Great collection below, particularly like the 5512 but would be absolutely chuffed with that collection.
