Wheeler Dealers - Elvis Priestley's watch

    Morning folks

I've been watching the new series of WD, glad it's back in the UK again. Elvis is wearing a black TAG Gulf Edition watch, it's not the F1 type, I'm sure they made a Carrera version. Please can anyone shed some light on what model it is?

    Cheers

    Adam

Yeah, I really like Wheeler Dealers as well - not sure about the TAG but wonder why the programme keeps flitting between the UK and the US? Interestingly, Mike Brewer used to wear quite a nice Rolex Daytona although appears to have traded-it in for something more obscure and flashier these days.

Talking of Whealer Dealers, I was always slightly intrigued by Ant Anstead's watches. He used a have a Tissot, then when he got richer splashed out some smart looking reverse-panda dailed gold-cased chrono I can't identify. Sucker for a reverse-panda dial me!
As for Elvis' watch, its ugly!

I'm also a fan of Wheeler Dealers, Elvis, Ant, and even Ed China.

Mike Brewer in several recent episodes has been wearing a BRM V8 chronograph variant, that is based on the ETA 7753 auto movement.

I'm also intrigued by Elvis Gulf watch, as I can never get quite a good enough look at it to ID it positively, despite HD :)

I'm sure it's a Carrera version TAG made a few years ago. But if I Google search it, all I get are Monaco & F1 pics

Cheers, yes probably not everyone’s cup of tea but I still wouldn’t wear a half-decent watch messing around with car parts/engines etc like they seem to do. I’m sure the guy on Car SOS wears a BLNR when he’s doing it as well.

His wife has the same matching watch to make it even more cringe worthy.

    'old out yer 'and!

Watched the US version because he was buying an old Supra but honestly these "reality" shows are so fake.

When he buys a car with an ominous noise it always turns out to be something insignificant.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

Yes, I've noticed that! We must remember its Reality TV, not Reality.

I wonder if his watch is a Team McLaren/Tag limited edition, rather than a commercial model?

I love wheeler dealers but like you I find the problems very “fishy” every time I’ve had a car with an ominous noise and I have had lots of cars over the years and it could cost £30 or £1000 it’s £1000 every time

Tell her it really really isn’t.

    ( and no offence taken I must add😄 )
