    Rolex Pepsi GMT pick up

Got the call yesterday to pick up a Pepsi M126710 three years after asking to be put on the list for one. It’s even more stunning on an oyster than a Jubilee but then again I have an option to buy a jubilee if I choose to, later on. I have owned a few older / vintage GMT’s but they always felt less substantial than my usual Rolex divers. This new GMT is on a different level especially on the oyster, SD build quality. If Dufour wears one then who can dispute one

Congrats on the new pick up. I much prefer it on the oyster too. Also the mark 3 bezels have a nicer shade of red and blue for me.

    Thanks,
Bezel is nice but for me With a vintage head I love the mark ones insert colour. But what can I say this has put the SD4000c off my wrist which in my opinion is the best Rolex ever made with a Kermit so close in second. No, just forgot the 1665, 5512, 5513, 6263, 6263 etc etc……
The only problem getting one of these, is selling special pieces to fund it. Watches that were and are amazing. First world nonsense, thank God I live in the UK and me and mine are healthy.

Very nice. Totally jealous as waiting for one of these. Looks really nice on the oyster.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

Beautiful watch, and one I'd love to pick up at some point. Funny, though, because I think it's in a different league on a jubilee. I guess that's why they make both :)

Lovely watch. I prefer the oyster strap but nice to have the option of the jubilee too.

I have a BLRO on jubilee and a BLNR on oyster and a jubilee. The jubilee looks nice in pics but feels flimsy in person.

Literally never heard anyone say that of the modern jubilees before. Must be those big beefy wrists of yours, Raj

Fantastic pic up, congratulations. I too am a fan of the GMT on oyster. The jubilee is really nice and I love the look but when it comes to being on my wrist it has to be the oyster.

The Pepsi and SD4K make for one hell of a combo! Congrats on the new piece

Congrats on the pick up! Yes I think you can order an oyster or jubilee bracelet from the AD so you have the best of both worlds. IMO, oyster with glidelock for the win!

Your patience paid off! I have the Mark II on the jubilee, but I do think yours looks great on the oyster.

Wow . The Pepsi looks great on an oyster but I think even better in the jubilee. It would be great to have both bracelet options for a change of mood. I would very much like to have a Pepsi or any gmt master one day.

Congratulations after that prolonged wait. It's a fantastic watch and having a 39mm Explorer and a 16610 Sub, I can appreciate that your GMT will feel more solid than the previous models. However, I do prefer the thinner lugs of the 5 digit models, even if the bracelets are less substantial.

Anyway, it's stunning and I hope you enjoy it for many years to come.

    Oyster looks better imho.

Too flashy IMO, like all the modern Rolex. The SDc is the only one I’d consider.

And there we go..........another Rolex thread veers off to into negativity for no good reason at all.

Was looking promising here, for a while.......

Congratulations, I think it looks boss on both bracelets.

I’m in 5 figure Rolex world myself, 16510,16570, 14270 and have been on the list for 26 months for both steel GMTs. If a call comes, I’ll be delighted with either, but if I had a choice I would go Pepsi.

    Well done

    Dave

If you post a watch in WT you’re inviting opinions! I shared mine. Not sure what the issue is, it’s a discussion forum after all…unless of course you’d rather we all have the same opinion?
