Ropey looking ladies watch at mctear’s

Just seen this ladies watch although not listed as a Rolex it clearly states with a Rolex dial and comes from a Scottish lady of title so hinting on the original side when it’s clearly a fake hopefully the link works contacted the auctioneer no response as yet

That's pretty intriguing. Wonder if it's some kind of Frankenstein as surly the auction house would have verified it was 18k and I would guess it's unusual to have a fake in precious metal?

I have no idea what that is. Pearlmaster style bracelet, no idea on case, or bezel
But if all 18ct gold, then worth more than that in scrap, and stones

Its a fake , you can see by the movement and the case and bracelet image . Some story about a Titled owner to soften the blow . Doubtful 18k and diamonds of any quality . Desperate selling .

That is shocking, and presumably illegal. Why would a hitherto respected auction house risk their good reputation by knowingly selling a fake? Someone in McTear's is needing their @£$3 kicked!

The one thing I've learnt from several years of collecting vintage watches is that there is no such thing as a trustworthy auctioneer.
    In the Sotadic Zone, apparently.
