    Heads up, Rolex Submariner Bluesey

Dream car giveaways have a Bluesy up for grabs in one of their competitions. You gotta be in it to win it as they say. https://dreamcargiveaways.co.uk/curr...1500-tax-free/

Or would you take the cash?

There are plenty of raffle style giveaways for desired watches.

Why post this one in particular, are you associated with the company?

They also have a very low ticket lot for a Tag Heuer.

Absolutely not. I’m not aware of such raffles and just thought it may be of interest to the members as this sort of piece is out of reach for most of us.

Which is worth more, the watch or the cash?

    All these raffles are scams.

I wouldn’t call them scams but it certainly seems like easy money for the organisers. The Rolex raffle above will net the organisers over £22,000 which is probably double what they paid for it. Wish I owned the business.

They will have significant marketing costs to get the tickets sold.

Set up your own then. Start with relatively cheap watches and build up from there. Getting publicity for the site is key.

I made a thread on here about starting a similar business for watch giveaways after my events business dried up due to covid. I never went ahead with it in the end although maybe I should, or a few TZ members should club together - might be fun!

I also won a car from the website posted a few months ago.

I don’t look at what I spend on these sites

Mostly people with a single ticket win the mega items like the lime green twin turbo’d Lamborghini a month or two back.

I personally think they’re fun. I always have a ticket or two on the Rolex’s they have. £2 for a bimetal Rolex with odds of 11200/1. Think what the odds are on the lottery or scratch cards, sure you’d win loads more but the chances are so slim it’s pointless. At least you have a decent chance here.

Also, they don’t always sell out so there’s a chance you’ll get better odds.
