I live in the ULEZ and I’ve seen no mention of the £10. My car is petrol but exempt so is this specific to EV’s?

Hmmm... I'm not sure about that, Paul. I'd ask for your money back, mate

This - no need to have a TFL account for ULEZ if the vehicle is exempt.

Still liable for congestion charge IIRC?.

Ditto, I also can’t find any requirement to register my ULEZ exempt car(s).

The congestion charge does require registration is it for that?

There really should be a way to auto pay, like the set up for the Dartford bridge, that’s a tenner to open a account and register a card for auto payment, so it can be done.
    Cheers..

There is - TFL have an auto-pay system if you register.

A friend of mine is seriously thinking of getting rid of his car now his house is in the new ULEZ zone - not worth the extra cost etc. for the journeys that he actually drives on.

Soz, yes it’s congestion charge not ULEZ. Can I still tell them you said I can have my tenner back T. 🤣

We’ve a night in Greenwich, Shoreditch and The Langham so will be interesting to see how the M3P handles the trip down from Suffolk and three days of Sentry Mode with no charge.

    Lots of stuff get 'announced'.

Perhaps there has been some denial, but he is dumping the car.

Watch out for being charged for someone elses vehicle.

I cancelled my auto pay after a year of being continuously wrongly charged a few times a month. They even include the pictures of the various offending cars showing their number plate and vehicle type and still manage to get it wrong, and they take the money before you get the bill.
You do eventually get the money back, but it takes time, and you're doing it each month, and they try telling you not to have a refund but keep your autopay account in credit.
No good to me as i only entered the zone once or twice a year, and continually racking up a few charges a month in credit was pointless.

    The TFL system is shite.
I couldn't can't cancel autopay while a dispute was ongoing, the dispute/refund would be made, i'd then attempt to cancel my autopay but they wouldn't let me as the new monthly bill had already started to run, and there was already a charge (wrongly) on my account.
The world of Kafka exists at TFL.
I now pay as i go.

I was contracting in London for a few months, back in 2019 - I used to leave the car at Turkey Street, just off the junction of the M25 / A10.

Plenty of safe on-road parking in a quiet residential area, and you can jump straight on the overground to Liverpool St.
It's 10 miles to South Mimms services, with several major supermarkets in the area.

You must be the optimistic person on TZ, an estate agent, or you grew up in a warzone. I wouldn't class Turkey Street as safe or quiet.

I went to school there and it was rough back then!
