    CWC 87 Reissue

    Just got this; absolutely mint.

(And a big thank you to John W for the heads-up!)

A stunning watch - perfect legibility. No clutter.

However, it may be a catch and release for me: Love it, but - against my stainless version not sure when I’ll wear it - it’s made me realise I’m really not a collector, just someone on the search for the single perfect tool watch! I’m going to mull it over the weekend - the outcome may or may not be a sales post!

That does look rather nice! I prefer the 'no date' - a much cleaner dial.

I had one of these for a short while. It was a replacement - the first one had a very loose bezel. Silvermans were very efficient about sorting it out.

I liked the black case which I thought would look even better following some years of use when it picked up a few scratches. What I didnt like was the shiny bezel which seemed a bit plasticky to me - so it had to go. I suspect most wouldnt be bothered by this though.

With you op on preferring the stainless version but like that nonetheless. What's the second strap?

Keep the black, put it on a bright nato, and use it as a fashion watch.

It’s a handsome watch and the non date dial adds a symmetry that is very pleasing to the eye, however you are not a collector so… which one do you like best? That is the keeper, the other is surplus requirements.
    I am not sure I could choose…

It's the day/date complication i never liked about the SBS, so absolutely loving this!

It is a lovely watch. I was considering getting one but I decided in the end that I'll wear a stainless steel version more often than a PVD one, hence ended up with the 83. I'm like the OP, not a collector, just love the look and the history.

    Legibility is outstanding.

The fine minute marks are a key feature on this model vs other SBS variants.

    ….still pondering!

Lovely as the '87 reissue is, I'd take either of the other two all day every day!
