Such a beautiful watch, mine is in import tax hell in UPS and have no idea when I'll get it, hopefully soon.

I step away for awhile and now you offer plexi!? :) good move. Can’t wait to see it makes its way to the regular Everest.

Regrettably not going to happen. Have a look here: https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...ire-vs-acrylic

I plan to use mine with straps, looks like almost anything will look terrific on it.

Well, fingers crossed but it looks like I got an order in for a plexi crystal Commando in the shop opening window.

Looks like lots of people did. To my utter amazement, both the sapphire and acrylic sold out.

I’m not sure if everything is sold out
I’ve noticed over the last openings that lots of models are shown as sold out after the shop closes, but then end up showing as in stock again a few days/weeks afterwards. Think it must be a software thing.

Yes I agree I think that’s why it shows up like that. For anyone that missed out there will be one more sale before Christmas I would imagine.

As per my other message, the software depends on the numbers Eddie enters into it.

It's just that in the case of the acrylic Commando I just assumed that they'd all (rather than a subset) be listed and available for sale in Shopify. :-)

Here's hoping that there will be more acrylic models in the future!

Who am I kidding?, I'll keep and enjoy mine knowing it will be a true limited edition.

Well, Eddie said he won't order any more than the 100 acrylics that he ordered to begin with. But it does seem unlikely that there aren't more unsold ones to be added to the shop in due course. We'll just have to wait and see.

Quick photo of the new arrival:

Onto a Perlon until I get the chance to size the bracelet later, first impressions are that I'm pleased with it.

Looking really nice paired with that Perlon, so I mentioned this elsewhere but that thing that looks like an outer white ring around the minute track is caused by the acrylic crystal right? It’s not actually printed onto the dial?

Who needs a bracelet? That looks exceptional as it is. I love the way the numbers got pushed out.

    Is this your first PRS-25/47?

Nope, it's nothing printed on the dial.

I have to agree, it gives a nice space to the dial. I've got a white-dialled 25 (I'll stick up some side by side pics this evening if I can) and I had both of the previous larger 25s.

    Probably a crystal tension ring?

Looks great on the bracelet 👌. Update us with photos if you decide to try it on a leather.

Quick shot from earlier with it next to my white-dialled Everest:

Interestingly, I think the finish on the bracelet of the Commando is slightly more satin/duller in look than the Everest. The Everest has get a little over 2 years of wear on it, so that might be a factor, but I think they're slightly different to start with. I like the newer clasp with the double button release.

That’s a really good comparison shot - you can see how the acrylic opens up the dial and the dials look the same size (the lighter dials usually look bigger than the dark).
