I've got my update by checking on Pixel 4
So a bored moment and decided to dig into the new Pixel. The highlight is the Tensor chip - we're going to start getting machine learning capable computational power on our phones. Probably a good few years off for it to be beneficial, but a feature to watch.
Otherwise it feels the non pro is the Pixel to go for. Not too sure the whole screen refresh rate etc is worth it and I've heard there is something fishy going on with the zoom camera and that the software defaults to the main camera and digital zoom due to not enough light getting through - something to watch in the reviews which I find a bit naughty that they come out only after the release......
I'm trying to think of a reason not to order this. I don't need/want the headphones so that's £250? Back if I sell them

Google have thrown the kitchen sink at it. Even if you sold the headphones for £200 and didn't have a phone to sell that's £399 for a top tier flagship. Bonkers price.
It really is, with 5 years Android updates the resale after 2 years will still be strong as well

I guess if you consider that a feature, but for me the only notable difference remains the telephoto camera but I've not held them yet of course so perhaps they will feel different in hand.
They're both huge to be honest, much bigger than the 5. It's the one downside of this release IMO.
The headphones will realistically be selling at £150 on eBay I think. They're already going for sub-£200 before the market floods. I might keep them though, apparently they're excellent for calls.
The deal is still crazy good though, defo seems worth the upgrade.

Procrastinated for a few days on a 6 Pro and saw the Google Store running down on colour choice so I bought a black phone this morning before they sold out. I have high hopes for the camera tech, if the early reviews arent universal I may just return it but either way, the headphones and five years of support make it a very good deal.

I'd like to buy into a Pixel direct from Google but I refuse to carry around such a large phone, still happy with a xz2 compact bought from the forum, hopefully someday Google will get the message that some of us prefer 'pocket phones'.

The reason why I'm not going for the Pro, shame really as both Google & Apple have gone down the route of offering flagships in two sizes, now we're back to compromises if you want a smaller, as you say pocket sized phone.

The Pixel 4 is a small phone, too small for me in fact and it's just been put in a draw after 1 weeks use.
The 4a 5g is perfect for me at 6.2" but I know the new Pixel will be too big having found the same problem with my old 3XL.
Pixel 5 is smaller than the 4a 5G and should be a bit faster too. Will be a couple on SC next week.
I've loved the size and weight of the 5, but now work permanently from home the extra size makes sense , besides, Google still don't do a tablet so let's how the Pro works as a double up

Interesting that the Pro is now on waiting list (via Google anyway) whereas the regular 6 is available. I genuinely thought the regular 6 was the one to get this year based on spec/price.
It is, but production won't have been split 50:50.
Nearly went to order a 6 Pro last night when I realised the weight difference was 4.5g but remembered the Pro has a curved screen. Horrible.
So, are we going to collectively price fix the pixel 5 in the sales corner?

My Note 20 Ultra 5G has a 6.9" display...not big enough! About 7.5" would seem about right. No problems fitting into most pockets.
