Definitely somewhere I'd like to visit at some point. These old tracks are amazing.

Went to the Italian car meeting at the historic Monthléry circuit today. The circuit is just south of Paris and was built in 1924, the following year Ascari lost his life there in an Alfa Romeo at the French Grand Prix.
It is a banked track, and the banking is mental - 52°!
The theme was Italian cars - old and new

SK that is incredible.
I once rode a bike at the Stratford cycle-drome-thingy (I'm not a cyclist - it's a long story) and the banking was one of the most terrifying experiences I've had. Think I was doing about 25mph max. Can't imagine the terror of having to keep the throttle buried at much higher speeds.
