Bit unloved but I like the quirky dial & colour combo.
Do these have the same bracelet as my 114060?
Any owners have photos to share of the above & any different strap options?

They’re okay; you can see them in a different light when you look at the bloodhound clocks.
Just so big at 40mm….
I'd get the point if they were lifted from a Spitfire or space shuttle or something with real heritage or achievement but the fact is that the Bloodhound is a 13 year old lemon and any involvement in it is largely now viewed as slightly embarrassing rather than something to shout about.
Well i love mine for being different

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think it’s the best looking watch Rolex make. (I am not really a fan though)
There is one thing that puts me off. The lack of lume on the dial. Yes you can still read the time in the dark but I am a lume junkie and a single triangle at 12 does not give me the fix I need. If the minutes in white were lumed I could be persuaded to try one.
I guess the problem the Air King has is relative value, there are far more interesting, better looking watches of equal or better quality out there for similar or less money.

It's not a bad piece and most certainly an aquired taste, I do prefer the Milgauss over this though however, I do really, really love the vintage Air-King 5500 models especially from around the 1960s period.
To me, the 34mm case size is the true Air-King in my humble opinion.
An excellent watch overall. I do take the point about the lume though. I didn’t keep mine that long but I enjoyed wearing it.
A couple of the one I had.
I would say it’s definitely a grower. I hated the look of it once I first saw the original release photos, and even before I saw it in person. Even then I wasn’t sure. But I now own one and I love it.
There are a few things i really enjoy:
1. The slightly bulkier case (because it’s the same as the Milgauss)
2. The green second hand gives a nice bit of colour (the Rolex Coronet is also in yellow and green too; the only watch in their range to do so, I think)
3. It doesn’t look like a typical Rolex, so i enjoy it being under the radar slightly
4. The matt dial is interesting from looking black to slightly brown in different lights, but this is no different from the Explorer 214270 anyway
5. It’s pretty easily available at ADs!
So I’m very happy with it. I also bought it to commemorate my Son’s birthday, so it now has additional sentimental value and so I will never sell it anyway. Probably best had as part of a collection; it works well in most situations except anything too formal.
probably my least favourite rolex sports watch, i much prefer the explorer 1 which is very similar without the unnecessary cluttered dial, as for the bracelet it is similar in my eyes other than the clasp which doesn’t have the glide-lock
I like the second image in black and white. I think if it were to have a gloss black dial and all the numerals were the same finish as it appears in the image it would be a watch I would like to have. As it is....less so.
I agree - when it was released I thought it looked very odd indeed. However when I actually saw one I really liked it. Yes it’s a bit bonkers but I liked it enough to buy one last May.

They may seem a bit odd to some folk but you try finding a new one !

The above is an older video from Bark and Jack, but I quite enjoyed watching it recently. It did make me wonder how many people write them off just from pictures alone, rather than handling one.
It's not one for me (yes I have tried one on, but it was too bulky for my wrists) but I like the fact that it's out there and a bit quirky :)
