    Roamer G10

Just seen a thread here about a Cyma G10, I thought I'd share info re a Roamer G10 i came across on eBay a while ago:

It popped up on the German eBay, ended up selling for 43 EUR on 16/07/2020

    The original eBay description:

"Roamer Military Men's Wrist Watch Herren Militär Armbanduhr Eta 955 414. Zustand: Gebraucht. Versand mit DHL Paket bis 2 kg.
NOT WORKING NEED REPAIR SOLD FOR PARTS!!!
    Model - Military
    Calibre - Eta 955 414
    Functions - hour - minute - sec - Date
Casing width - 38mm with crown
    Casing length - 42mm
    Thickness - 10mm
    Lug - 19mm
Not Working order sold for parts or repair
Small scratches on the glass, which can be seen in the photos
Shipped via DHL Germany and I will give you a tracking number
    "

No military markings, and surprisingly seems legit. Also begs the question, why would anyone bother faking these?
    Let's hear your thoughts

I have never seen or hear about one of these before. That is rather cool. Note the drilled lugs and date! (One for Ken?) it would be interesting to measure the thickness, looks to be a thin case which would help date it.
Roamer anfibio we’re issued to the South African and Rhodesian Armies in the 70s so this post dates them obviously.
I don’t think this is issued but it would be cool to find out a bit more about it. Is it a possible attempt at a new military contract. ZA were at war quite a bit in the 80 and we’re buying kit from all over the place.

South African Watch serial numbers were preceded with ZA
Rhodesian with RA (or possibly SFA)

I know, I'd never heard of these either, good job i saved the pics for later reference. I regret now not going for it, especially that it sold for peanuts.
The seller did mention the thickness measured 10mm if that helps
This has a 955.414 inside, i believe CWC started using 955's in 1988, so this must be late 80's - early 90's

Yep they're showing now, very interesting, shame you didn't nab it for such a bargain price. That would have made a cool little piece for the collection.

    Thanks for posting.
