Its in a sequence of 3.
    1 push start
    2nd push stop
    3rd push reset.

Only "issue" with them is that you can't start, stop, and then continue after a pause, 3rd push will always reset.

That makes sense, thanks for the explanation.

Is there a perceived benefit to this over a 3 button Chrono in some scenario?

No, not really. they're considered more heritagey as were developed earlier and have less buttons adoring the case so look sleeker, but that's pretty much it above and beyond marketing fluff.
They're certainly not as useful as don't have the start stop restart feature of standard chronos.

There is a saying in English about falling off the ugly tree and hitting every branch on the way down. I think it refers to this... thing.

In recent years Christopher Ward and Longines have both brought out mono pusher chronographs, I like Corum for their mad watch designs for a more budget version Mr Jones have some weird watch designs too

47mm and able to start small fires on a sunny day.

Some of their other bubble models are 57mm. Homer1 design territory indeed.

This seems to have become a conversation about Corum, Bubbles and Ugly watches, I wasn't looking ot buy this particular watch, just understand what a mono pusher chrono is.

As it stands I do have 6 Corums, 4 of which are Bubbles, but that's the great thing about personal taste.

Here’s mine… the looks of this might take some of the heat off the Corum, but I like it so who cares !

My Cal 40 mono push Hanhart dates from 1938. So if it was a thing it’s lasted about 80 odd years.

Is it still termed a mono pusher if it uses separate pusher to winder?

It seems to cover both types. https://wornandwound.com/guide-from-...-chronographs/

This has always been a favourite of mine and would buy one if one came along. Never seen to see these discounted anywhere though.

An original of this is on my list of ‘grails’ they are as rare as rocking horse waste.
I have only seen this version once in the window of a jeweller in Windsor. I was very tempted but the standard Longines date put me off. Why did they put a date on all of their heritage watches?

I have to agree on the date, it does somewhat ruin the symmetry of the dial.

Here is my mono pusher. The chrono wheel is on the back displayed through a port hole window. Very cool and clean execution.

See verv's reply in post #2 - the push-button does everything.
