    Watch strap - Rolex Explorer 2 - 226570

    Evening all,

After much deliberation I think I’m going to keep my Explorer 2. I’m going to buy a NATO or Rubber strap that fits the deployment strap. It’s a black face btw.

Any points and/ or suggestions wound be greatly received.

    Thank you.

    Chris

I find the RubberB style straps a little stiff personally - but then I’ve never worn one long term.
I think the Exp II looks great on a NATO. Either plain black or with a little orange in it (assuming yours is the newer version).

Before splashing the cash on a RubberB i'd recommend searching on Aliexpress for curved 20mm strap, lots of choice on there. Yes the quality isn't up to RubberB standards, but at least you can try the style to see if you like it.

Good old fashioned isofrane works well.
If you search explorer eye candy on here, nono has a photo of his polar on one.

I know this is a polar dial but I liked to wear it on a canvas strap, which I felt suited the watch well. It also works well with a generic rubber strap, and suits a NATO. All IMHO of course.

I went on a RubberB on my polar. Absolutely love it.
Think it would look epic on the black faced.

Such a versatile watch and looks great almost regardless of what strap you wear it on.
