    Morning TZ,

I've had my Weishi No. 1900 for a good few months now after a kind heads-up here when they were available on Amazon for £130.

It came with an adapter that worked, and I didn't question it.

However, I've just seen this video from BigClive and John Ward on YouTube (both very decent fault finding/creating electrician channels) and it's the very same adapter.

In short, ditch the adapter if it's the same design as these. It's a very dangerous thing indeed:

Very much so! It's dreadful that the companies that make them don't even do basic risk checks. But I suppose that's partly how the adapters can be sold so cheaply.

For a number of years I’ve seen these, and other similar, cheap adapters supplied with medical equipment used in clinical trials.

The most surprising part is the equipment suppliers always seem surprised when I reject their equipment.

It p’s me off how many companies supply dangerous adapters like this kit equipment used at home.

If you have any at home I encourage you to destroy it before placing it in the bin so it cannot be reused.
