    New Seiko Automatic Speedtimer Chronograph

These are over my budget but may interest others . Not a bad looking chronograph but a little high IMO.

The pushers and crown look a little bit large for the case, but otherwise it looks okay.

I rather like that, the crown and pushers remind me of the Spring Drive chronos from a few years back.

    New Seiko Automatic Speedtimer Chronograph

Not bad, but at around 2.5-3k I’d be hard pushed to choose them over say a longines big eye or a Hamilton intra. And I love a Seiko.

For something a bit more cheap and cheerful, the new solar ones look ok too

Not a bad size too at 39mm wide and slightly slimmer than the mechanical version .

    I prefer that.

While a Seiko automatic chronograph is an interesting development for the industry, the execution here leaves me a bit cold. The white dial one, in particular looks like a cheapo quartz chrono.

Also, 15mm thick with a flat crystal. I would have hoped that a modern movement would allow for the watch to be a bit thinner, but then again, that’s never been seiko’s strongest suit.

Lastly, the price is punchy given what else is out there with a 7750, for less money.

Yeah the dimensions do look good. price still seems on the high side for a quartz/solar but it is one of the nicer ones I’ve come across

I think that solar white dial is going to be crowd pleaser and only about £600 on a bracelet. I'm tempted.

Have to agree that I think the solar models are going to be the winners here....

I just wish they wouldn't ruin the design with the Prospex logo.

I like them all, I feel a visit to the Seiko boutique coming on.

As always would prefer without the date window, but c’est la vie.
