Pointless having two of the same model?

Currently have a 16610 and a seamaster GMT co axial from 05, never wear the seamaster as I just don't get on with it, I'm considering another submariner as I love the 16610.

I know prices are crazy on the subs in the grey market and have been on a wait list for a ceramic for years. I did get the 16610 back in 08 at retail from the same dealer.

I'm going to let the seamaster go, but unsure if it's pointless getting the new sub, hope an LV comes through at a good price, or something else..... If so what?

The LV at a good price just might have come along, if you check SC

You can send the seller a PM though?

Not sure it’s pointless, but maybe a little excessive. I think I had well over 20 pairs of models within my overall watch collection until 2020.
It's just a matter of time...

Two of the same model? For your own use? Definitely.

Two similar watches - That's up to you and how different you think they are.

I've had two watches with the same case, but very different dials/bezels/etc - They didn't seem the 'same' to me, although the only example I have now is a couple of Seiko 5 divers - One is heavily modified, the other is supposed to be when I get around to it, but in blue, instead of black.

Breitling Cosmonaute 809 - What's not to like?

It would be a 16610 and a 126610LN or LV if I can get hold of one

I think you should go for it, loads of people think having more than one watch is excessive full stop but we’re here because we’re enthusiasts (anoraks)
