Lovely car and an excellent spec. A few notables there.

Just one minor one, it’s missing the number plate lights off the rear bumper.

if you ever fancy swapping your RHD for my LHD 964 let me know ;-)

Very nice. Again the specs are lost on me but it sure looks the business.
A friend of mine has just bought an ex-works RS1800, one of two built on day one of production. Needless to say it cost ‘a few bob’. It joins his 20+ collection of RS Escorts and the only watch he owns is a quartz Seiko that cost about £30 in Argos, at least 20 years ago.

That’s going to be an huge amount of fun.. and I suspect it will sound fabulous.
There were a few RSR cars at the pre 97 track day last month and they were very very quick, and sounded amazing.
    Nice one.

looks like it's blowing a raspberry with that strap thing at the front

Looks marvelous - and that's from someone who isn't a huge fan of the 911

    That’s a proper 911, that is!

My only concern would be the lack of DSC!

Should be a pretty fun car! I’ve just bought a new steering wheel for it, some rennline floor plates and eyeing up a wevo shifter and REPA harnesses. The plan is to carpet it in the correct style carpet, fit RS door cards and re-fit the original VDO dials with the stack dash going where the clock should be.

I’ve also collected all of these……

And it will look like this….

GCR are cracking on with the work, fitting the new fuel safe tank and sorting a few bits.

I also bought a set of accurate, reproduction period correct REPA harnesses to go in it, should match the seats and steering wheel nicely. (These aren’t mine, just what they will look like)

Congratulation's lovely bit of kit. Have you fitted a fire suppression system - just in case 😁

Having seen your interior, I am now thinking ear defenders might be a useful addition 😂🤣 . Mine measures 108.5dbm static at 3000 rpm, so I hate to think what yours will measure. The upside is that you don’t need a stereo fitted.

Looks like a proper weapon. 👍 Enjoy.

And that is precisely why I had my SC Targa (1976 ) for all of 3 months.... what a heap of junk. The back wanted to see what the front was up to as soon as a cloud appeared in the sky. It was a total disappointment having been a poster dream for several years. Sold it and bought a TVR Taimar. One man's meat.... enjoy your track special but keep your reactions sharp!

Not entirely the cars fault, could be down to geometry/tires/tire pressure/worn shocks/ability!! 😬😉

Very, very nice. That would be a great stable mate for my Boxster. Are you still intending to fit the correct carpet set, door cards etc?

All that expense and not enough left over for some carpets... Seriously, though, what a fantastic job you've done and a stunning result. Enjoy :)
