    Omega tease

    Just seen this on Twitter:
    https://twitter.com/omegawatches/sta...500187654?s=21

Any ideas, surely not another Speedmaster?!

Think they need to chill on the speedy front. I’d like to see a new model as opposed to another limited edition

Looks like it might have some design elements from the CK 2393

A remake of that would be gorgeous. And if they didn’t call it a Speedmaster just because it has subdials, that would be great.

Well, that's a thumbs up from me: I think the white faced version looks fabulous.

According to Fratello, although it's a 43mm diameter, the lug-to-lug is a very wearable 48mm. Plus it has Omega's micro-adjustable clasp.

I like it a lot, but can’t help thinking it might look better with a white bezel.

I like the dial and I like the case. But I’m not sure I like them together. I would prefer the look of a stepped case and something not branded under the speedmaster umbrella.

Different strokes for different folks I guess

Looks good, after taking a few minutes to get used to it. I’d have one.

Primarily though I’m excited about maybe being able to get the bracelet separately and seeing if it’ll fit on my 21mm lug width speedy 9300. What I wouldn’t give for some female end links to shave a couple of mm off the lug to lug.

Think these are lovely and a nice surprise. The white dial with blue is the best looking but that black and red gives it a close run for its money for me. Surprisingly the blue dial doesn’t win here and I love blue watches.

Ouch on the €8,400 cost on bracelet for a hand wound Chronograph!

However, that bracelet will be a winner will no doubt sell even at the usual Omega cost of around €800!

I feel the same on these.

Far too much going on for me. Looks nice in a case like the vintage example but this just looks like a messy speedmaster to me!

I like it a lot - plenty going on but looks ‘right’, at least from these pics.

I feel exactly the same. I reserve judgement until I have seen in person but it appears there’s too much going on. Omega is milking the Speedy line again - definitely would have been nicer to see this in a more elegant case.

Jesus, it looks like a lucky lucky special off the guys in Marbella. What were they thinking in such a sporty case?!

I agree. It’s like two completely different watches frankensteined together

I quite like the white with red, but I think the black bezel makes the rest look off. It's all a bit busy.
The original is nicer, and I'd have preferred the watches if they'd been a bit more faithful to that. Nice to see some experimentation though.

I’m a big omega fan but it just feels a bit lazy. Why not design a new case

Most seem to like it but I’m with you on that. What next, The Omega Railmaster Planet Ocean? The Snoopy Aqua Constellation-master?

Would it have worked better with the 1957 or FOIS case? Just looks off in the speedy pro case. Not refined, or elegant.

Agreed. If it resembled the shape of the original case but with all the updates in materials and movements etc, this would be a winner for me.

Just when you think that they can't jump the shark any longer they find another stretch - what next the undersea-space-explorer-arctic-chrono-speedmaster? Obviously Switzerland, with the help of Omega and Rolex are trying to recoup the financial losses of the quartz blitzing in the 70s and 80s.

    Omega tease

I’m not sure that that dial goes with that case - mixing two completely different periods, makes it look like a clumsily redialled Speedy from eBay

Should have a ceramic case just to make it even more of a confused design

It's big at 43mm and it has a nice dial. It looks a bit bizarre with that case and dial combination. The retail is silly and it has a rather boring looking manual movement shown via the display back. Overall, I'm not convinced.

I really like the white dial and didn't really expect to like these at all being so busy on the dial but really the price is just toooo much .

I managed to have a look at the silver dial / blue bezel version in the flesh today in the Omega Boutique. Size wise it didn’t feel overpowering compared to the average 43mm watch. It’s really quite good-looking in real life. Didn’t love the standard blue strap but otherwise was more impressed than expected. I Still think it belongs in a more elegant case.

Also a Pulsometer. Also caliber 9908 which AFAIK is exclusive to this model.

Still looks like they've plopped a watch that deserves a different case into a speedy.

Saw these today in the OB. Look very nice and much more legible than I thought they might be.

The silver/blue is the best looking in my opinion followed by the black/red. The bracelet is very nice and has a good taper to the clasp but the price at €8,800 euro just cannot be justified.

Im with those who feel that the dial deserves a nicer case than that - or perhaps I should say, a more suitable case... theres nothing wrong with a speedmaster - but not with that dial for me.

I kind of agree. I like the idea but for me the execution is a little short over all.
The only that I like the all gold one.

I’d buy one at 40mm but 43mm is just a joke
