However, great pictures and I really do want to try one of these out.
Rubbish shade of blue, and if I want to read a novel I'll buy a book, not a watch with a novel on the dial. I think Tudor has lost it with this one
Reminds me of the blue Rolex brought out on the first of the ceramic TT subs.
I saw this IRL the other day when I went to see the North Flag, all I'll say is that the blue tone is different to nearly every photo of it I've seen online - it's not at all garish, and more subdued than I expected. I liked it a lot.
Very nice, but the first photograph is enough to send the "You can't put a diver on a leather strap" brigade into a catatonic stupour.
As a gen 1 Pelagos owner, I like it. The blue looks good. Although I am a huge critic of the text - why, oh why.

Can someone explain what the second rubber strap is? It looks too short to be a NATO-type one-piece.
It's an extender, for over a wet-suit.

I was accused of the same when I did the Pequignet review on here – there's no right or one way to provide the information you think people will want or need, just different styles.
They have a commercial angle in some way, as they buy and sell watches, as well as make their own straps, by the looks of it.
Even the "About Us" page doesn't clarify things all that much – but at least they've got their hands on one of the initial pieces.
It'll be interesting to see if any more reviews surface, which you'd expect to happen just before the product is officially released.
And given we know that Switzerland shuts down effectively for 4-5 weeks shortly, I wouldn't be surprised if ADs are sitting with stock already, which will be put out for display on a pre-determined date.

Sorry, but that was not a review, it was pure advertorial. Gushingly loving adjectives at every opportunity, without any critical balance at all.
But then again I suppost this is how you get more watches to review, more readers etc etc.
But, the pictures confirm the blue to be, well, just too blue, for me at least. And those satchel orange straps only confirm how modern that blue is, and how it really doesn't match with any "vintage" colouring in the slightest.
I am a BIG Tudor fan, but this is a big "non" from me.

Saw this today in Kingston, the review photos make it look cartoonish - in the metal it's no where near as bright coloured as that.
Written by a Tudor retailer, no wonder it's a sugary sweet "review".
As for the blue; I'll reserve judgement until I see one in the metal. The text? That should have been left as a two liner "Pelagos Chronometer".
Ever since Tudor relaunched in the UK my local AD has had 3 of the original black dialed watches in their window display, today they had just the one on rubber. I didn't enquire, however it certainly looks like they're preparing for the new models.

I'll have a look when I'm there next week - I think colours in photos rarely do a watch justice. In pictures it looks a very odd shade, I wish they'd gone more of an 'Omega bond seamaster' blue as opposed to this cornflower colour, but I will have to see it in the flesh to get a real view

The "in the wild" photos make it look better imo. Still can't say I'm too taken with the blue though.
I'm looking forward to seeing one of these in the flesh, the pics do seem to divide opinion but I'm firmly in the like it camp.
I thought at release it will be a nice competitor to PO as Omega dont have blue in Stainless Steel.
Well, looking now at colour closely it looks like a watch for a child. Too blue to be treated seriously.

I like it and it looks so much better in the wild pics than the others, a lot more subtle.
I do think they should have made the dial sunburst though or out some texture in it. I'm not really a fan of plain (apart from too much writing!!) matt dials
I like the matte dial and the 3D effect on the depth of the dial, but in all the photos it looks too big on the reviewers' wrists. Would have preferred it as a 40mm watch I think.

pretty much my sentiments also - the tone of the blue seems off. and even worse, way too much text on the dial with v2 of the watch.
it's nice that the movement is in-house now, but who wants that much useless text (do you need be reminded the rotor self-rotates) on the dial. yeesh!

Tudor/Rolex have ruined the dial on the Pelagos now they've put all those lines of text on it.
To be honest, I feel the same way about Subs with four lines of text too.
Give me a "two-line" dial every time.
I just tried on the blue Pelagos at Charles Fox in Bournemouth, and it looks great in the metal. The blue was a lot less in-your-face than in the pictures, and the bezel looked fantastic. I definitely prefer the old two-line dial, but it wasn't as big a problem as I thought it would be. I'd still go for the old version, but I'm not as sure about swapping my 79090 for one as I was yesterday.

I tried the blue on today and it was lovely. Matt blue bezel and dial was great. The extra text didn't really bother me and the plus point is the in house movement.
However i I do reckon that the old pelagos will be highly collectible in a few years as it's now discontinued.
i had the AD whip the blue rubber off it and fit it to a blackbay and it looked ace. I was always looking for a decent rubber for my blue blackbay and this blue rubber may just fit the bill.

Yep. Bought on the forum 3 years ago now. Had a fair bit of wear on that time but with a collection that has grown to 5 currently and 6 or 7 before now it's not constant use... Tends to be a favoured daily for a month or more than gets put away for a while.
I find it great, and it's just as it was when I got it. Great watches.
