Larratt is a training beast who could pull off the short notice and get in good enough shape for this.

How will he learn how to box in the time he has available?

Devon is first class, win or lose you can’t help not to like the guy, the videos on YouTube of him in arm wrestling contests are great entertainment, great mind games and talking to his opponents basically laughing in their faces then all good at the end.

Thor isn't a boxer. Plus he's had to reduce his weight a huge amount. This has been known to cause big problems even for experienced boxers reducing just a stone. Faintly remember Roy Jones or someone of his era and quality losing badly after such a change.

I think there are lots of fights I’d sooner watch than that pair. I’ll pass

If Larratt hit Thor below the belt would he forfeit his potential $500K pay day?

So, two guys that can't box, trying to box.

I know it's all about the PPV but I can't help feeling that it's desperately sad.

Now David Haye wants an “exhibition match” with Tyson Fury, Tyson Fury says he’d do an exhibition match with Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield just got knocked spark out in the first round at over 50 yrs old, and don’t get me started on Jake Paul and Mayweather.

Fight game turning into a joke tbh.

Hardly a cash cow at 7 quid for the whole card - about 8 fights 😂

It's become a circus freak show now.

About 20 years ago I wrote an article entitled "Pro-celebrity boxing". It was based around pre-celebrity golf, which was popular at the time, and the concept was a ridiculous extension of the concept for comedic effect.

Fast forward two decades, and that's essentially what we've got. The Thor/Larrett fight isn't too bad because neither are pro fighters, but sooner of later one of these ex-pro's is going to seriously hurt someone (either a wannabee celebrity or a washed up old fighter like Holyfield)

I'm a fan of Larratt for his arm wrestling antics, but he looks very wooden in the sparring vid. I was looking forward to Thor vs Hall for the spectacle of it, but I can't see this being up to much.

Jesus, that was painful to watch.

Almost as bad as watching Holyfield get stopped last week.

Yep know what you mean but definitely felt worse watching Holyfield

This is a clip of Thor training some grappling with a way more experienced fighter, his strength is carrying him but the other guy has the technique/experience to beat him.

I think the crossover where athletes to move into different sport is quite interesting, especially the fighting arts. Sometimes it’s a freak show but Thor is actually taking the boxing seriously and has a super competitive nature - he may evolve into a very good fighter of some sort..
