    Yellow dial OP alternative 41+

No hope of getting the Rolex, so what are the alternatives, with a yellow dial...must be 41+, and not a diver..approx 5k

Surely thermistor be a Breitling? Or a Halios? Must be loads more but that’s the best I can do when I should be asleep!

Well it is a dive watch style (which I know you said to avoid) but the Breitling Superoceans and Avenger Seawolfs with Cobra Yellow dial are arguably more iconic as being a definitive Breitling colour. If I was after a yellow dial watch and the OP was an option even vs the Breitling Avenger Seawolf with yellow dial I'd still go for the Breitling TBH. Prob a 20% discount possible also.

For non-divers yellow is such a rare colour I think it is going to be super difficult. Maybe the Aerospace Evo Night Mission Cobra Yellow asa non-diver

Left wing option and perhaps more orange than yellow https://nomos-glashuette.com/en/stor...ure-orange-710

Pair with their bracelet https://nomos-glashuette.com/en/stor...sport-18mm-887 (check so it fits)

Not a too bad option and to a 1/3 of the price

Edit. To match a 41mm I’d go for the 38mm model for the right dinner plate feeling.

Interesting question. I must admit I have always exclusively associated yellow dials with divers, and it’s certainly difficult to find any direct alternatives to the OP.

While I agree with Ryan’s post above (and indeed both own and love a Breitling Seawolf with a cobra yellow dial), it really does shout ‘diver’ fairly aggressively.

If I was looking for something more restrained then I’d suggest a Doxa Sub 200. Yes I know it’s technically a dive watch but it’s pretty low key I think. Also it’s £4K under your budget!

Thanks guys. The seawolf is a very nice watch, but it's a diver, and on the wrist, it weights a ton.
So far I can't find anything that comes close to the OP.
I'm sure D Dornbluth might be able to do yellow ceramic dial, which might tick the box...

    Really?

I know Rolex are hot, but I find this unbelievable, especially in such a colour.

I’m sure if you asked around you could really get one if you wanted one.

You'd be surprised Dave. I've tried a few, and no joy...if anyone comes across one, let me know, I'd jump on it.

This model is harder to get than the Green Sub currently. I guess because of the comparatively low price there are more people asking. Grey rates are typically double RRP

I'd say yellow is top 3 for popularity. Seriously long wait for any colour and that's if they even let you on the list.

I am shocked, but then I’m quite out of the Rolex loop these days!

I was thinking of enquiring about a yellow OP but sounds like there is no point. Not surprised having seen them up at over double RRP. I imagine they were making less of them expecting lower demand.
I'd have thought the green & blue would be a harder find.

The prices on Chrono 24 reflect the scarcity/desirability ranking for the OP41.

    Turquoise>Yellow>Coral>Green>Dark Blue>Black/Silver.

Broadly the same in the 36 with Pink perhaps ranking second there but not available in 41.

I managed to get in early with a Turquoise 36 for my daughter and recently picked up the yellow 41 which does create a fair amount of attention and comments. If I was trying now my AD pretty much said 2 years plus bordering on forget it!

    Yellow dial OP alternative 41+

I would contact anordain and see what they can do. It's not a standard colour but they have produced yellow enamel dials previously. They now offer their watches on a shark mesh bracelet as well.

Edit: apparently the watch below is an orange dial but a more yellow, yellow is possible if you look at the article.

Superocean from Breitling would be the obvious option

If you are happy to go used and almost yellow but not exactly, what about a Zenith mango?

There’s a chrono and 3 hand option, and both are a similar size to the OP.

    Yellow Dial

Having read through some of the options that been proposed for an alternative to a Rolex OP with a yellow dial I feel that the only real option that have for something that oozes quality and panache is this

Hahaha.... I hate to admit that I rather liked it for maybe £50-£100.

    Then I discovered that it's £1600. Oh. :-(
