Hublot Big Bang Integral Tourbillon Rainbow OMG!

i’m not usually a fan of pieces like this, but this is a work of art. it will set you back €779,000 though!

The exhibition caseback and movement might be my favourite thing about this watch. simply awesome!

Each to their own and all that, but not only does that look horrible, but it's an example grotesque indulgence and consumerism that is very wrong with the world.

Plus it's really difficult to tell the time.

Just think about how many real deals (AP) you could get for the same money.

Not even original. It’s ripping off Daytona rainbow.
Awful in every way, can’t buy taste as they say!

It has a certain charm, although the skeleton dial and Hublot brand name are not for me. Put a nice plain three handed watch movement and dial with a date, something like a Rolex 1665 Great White and you would have a winner.

I was expelled from the good taste course at the local college

On reflection, I suppose you could apply that perspective to most of the luxury watch industry.

I would agree with that as far as precious metals go. If you take Rolex as an example, in their sports range you are getting a durable material and years of skill and expertise of developing a precision instrument.

I don't buy the quartz Casio £15 argument.

    I quite like it.
At the usual -30% it'll be trading at around rainbow Daytona levels for a tourbillon with full gem setting.
    Not terrible.

Imagine going home and telling the wife that you’ve just got £200,000 discount on your new watch!

    Errrrmm. I love it.

I generally shy away from polished links and glossy bezels so it’s not to my everyday taste. However, As an ironic demonstration of vulgar wealth, it’s perfect.

Maybe a guilty pleasure fantasy watch?

I love it. Doubt it would be discounted though. It is a limited edition of 2 watches, one in White gold and one in King gold. Money aside, you’d have to be in a special position to be offered the opportunity to buy one.

exactly. they’ve only made 1 in rose gold and 1 in white gold. They won’t have any problem at all selling these at the list.

Absolutely awful in any way! It starts with the brand Hublot and stops at the price! Vulgar and ridiculous! Wonder how anybody with an ounce of reason can find that attractive. It is as graceful and tasteful as Nicky Minaj…..

Is a very interesting watch, more jewel than watch but interesting. The selection of the stones with the rainbow of colours make the watch a real jewel. Of course is for people that can afford the price and that wants do not go unnoticed

But would it get me a Daytona at retail? That's the important part.

I think folk are being a tad unfair. At this price, even with the Tourbillion this is primarily a piece of gem-set jewellery rather than a timepiece, clearly aimed at the mega rich looking for a unique piece. Some folk spend much more than this on individual stones. Of course the price is absurd, but it does look a million dollars (or thereabouts ) even if I wouldn't wear it myself!

No, I wouldn't wear one but, by its own terms of reference, i.e. as a statement piece of pure jewellery, I think it's a success. Extravagant, attention-seeking and visually stunning. Factor out the watch element, if we saw something similar on display at the V&A and were told it was the gift of a besotted 17th century Mughal ruler to his favourite concubine, I think the reaction of many would be different.

Even if I had that kind of money it’s not something I’d like - but it looks like a well made piece.

Spectacular piece of jewellery. I wouldn’t wear it but would look smashing on female wrist.

If that thing was put on the wrist of my better half then by the end of the week there would be a chip out of the crystal, three of the stones would have simply "gone missing" and one of those spiky wheely things inside the glass would be wandering around all by itself making a nice rattly sound

I would almost be worth buying the 'Time Machine' off Sales Corner and trying my luck as a 17th century concubine..!

Looks like something that producer Michael (YouTube) would wear. Can see these trading at 30 cents on the dollar in no time

The taste of the rich is something I don't think most people can fathom.

I guess there are plenty of very rich people who go about their lives in an understated way, but clearly there are lots that don't and I'm sure more than two of them would love this.

i think in this day and age with only 2 of these ever made, i wouldn’t be surprised to see one of these being sold above the list price i’m afraid!

Looks great! From a distance. In dark. Wouldn't be seen dead wearing one. Sorry.
