Do you mean Tropical?
Can anyone provide a simple explanation or a pointer to a resource that explains what constitutes a Caribbean style watch?
Thank you
It was a type of high pressure resistant case with rotating bezel used in deep rated divers from the 60/70s
Most were at minimum 500m rated but O&W, Phillip, Jenny etc released versions rated to 1000m
Essentially Jenny sold various high pressure cases to other manufacturers who put their logo on the dial.
The case is quite distinctive in its design with angled lugs, being quite thick with a prominently domed crystal. Dials and bezels are bright colours
Eddies version pretty much nails it visually and in performance.
I believe the term was derived from the numerous versions for sale in the Caribbean resorts of the time when recreational diving was just taking off.

They were also characterised by brightly coloured dials, often with a textured look that almost apoeared to be coloured glass beads suspended in a clear resin.
And for the time they were quite large watches.

My pleasure
I think I got most of it right.
I love them and it’s a case style I desperately want to add to the collection. I just need to find the right one. - there are so many variants.
It’s a bit like the original Squale watches, you see one love it and then another comes along.
Im not sure this is the best place to post this, there are so many Caribbean threads to chose from, I have a old O&W brochure with the Caribbean 1000 shown. ( also the 400 series but they are not as interesting )
The text is in German but its interesting non the less.
Cheers..
Jase
Has anyone got access to the instructions for the original caribbean bezel?
Or perhaps someone could translate?
