Thread: Oris at an antiques market - any good?

Oris at an antiques market - any good?

This is for sale at a market we’re at. I can’t find it online and it’s suspiciously immaculate for a supposedly 1960s/70s watch.

Any ideas if it’s a) real and b) worth paying £60 for?

From an aesthetic point of view my missus is a fan!

Unfortunately the pictures are very low resolution - perhaps use an external image host and post the links here?

Im sure thats a wrong un, looks like modern laser etched back, and the dial is very bad, Swiss made would never be put there.
    Cheers..

    Much better photos!

I don't know if it's legit. But the positioning of the ORIS on the dial looks to be rather 'left' of centerline? I guess the centerline is between the R and I, but it just looks rather odd.

It does look like someone printed the dial using MS Word!

Think I’ve seen a few similar examples on eBay usually from India 🇮🇳. Fakes for sure.

This. Oris seems to be a huge favourite for redialling there in all manner of interesting styles. Look and be amazed: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_fsr...LH_BIN=1&rt=nc
