    Unreal.

Never talk to strangers serves just as well for us adults as it did when I was child.
    Cheers,

    Ben

I'd love to know what he was saying while humping the guys leg to try and justify the ruse...

    Happy ending at least.

Wondering why people with no interest in watches are on a watch forum?

Slightly more concerning letting some random stranger rub up against them

My mate and I got approached like this in Barcelona.

Two blokes handing it flyers to a flamenco dancing class, they separated us and tried a move to take my wallet from my back pocket but it was in my front pocket. I switched on and he realised, smiled and walked away, meanwhile his mate took about 80 euros from my mates wallet and gave it back to him saying he’d dropped it.

    Was eye opening!

Distraction pickpockets can do that move even when you're expecting something to happen. Just watch a few stage pickpockets to see how easy it is.

If it's possible never let anyone in the street engage you or get that close to you. If they do check watch, jewellery, purse/handbag and wallet immediately.

What has his name got to do with anything? Are people with British names less likely to steal Rolexes? Are there some published stats to back this up?

What are you trying to say, as if we don't know.
"Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action."

'Populism, the last refuge of a Tory scoundrel'.
