I've just picked up a couple of watch stew-ard G series straps and very impressed with them
I picked up my replacement Tudor strap last Friday, which was a nice surprise regarding the speed of delivery, so if anyone is after the shorter Tudor strap they seem to be in stock at the moment.
My Erika's have arrived too, which are as good as you'd expect them to be. This is the best match of the two:

Thrifty gentlemen elastic nato. Very comfortable
https://www.thrifty-gentleman.com/pr...ark-blue-white
Don't know how everyone else is getting on with the original 'hook & loop' but mine lost its grip pretty quickly to the point it was opening on it's own
anyway spoke with AD they kindly replaced FOC, but decided I would keep new one to one side and bought this rascal from AliExpress arrived in under a week and for £ 20.00 after discount I think its pretty good value and way more grippy than the original from Tudor.
So quite an interesting development. Am in Thailand and an AD said there is info on good authority that Tudor are releasing a revision of the FXD for the Thai market that will be a left hander and also just 2 lines of text. Limited release, no idea of numbers other than I presume I have no chance but hopefully a version of that with full text on the dial makes it to general release worldwide.
They look so much better when not on the OEM velcro to my eye.
One of these would be ideal https://www.watchgecko.com/products/...42534213222563

Looks like an Erika to me (or it's a cheaper copy).

Elastic marine strap from cheapestnato, very satisfying for its price ;)
Got them on different colour for a fraction of the price a single Erika would have cost…
… even though the Erika is of a greater quality for sure

Nice! Did you have to modify it to work with fixed lugs?
Just been offered one from an AD. Initially saleswoman said you need to make a decision by tomorrow morning, to which I said impossible and there’s no way I can collect before weekend. I said if you say it’s in such demand, offer it down the list and if I’m lucky you’ll call me at the end of the week to say it’s still mine. Calls me back in 5 mins and says the manager has agreed to keep it for you till Sunday. Makes me think that either more are coming through or simply demand is slowing or both.
Wonder whether I should just buy it or wait a little further for them to start dropping below
Rrp and pick up a used one as seen in SC recently….
Looks like these are coming through now. Well worth a try as there is nothing quite like it on the current market
I wear mine on a CNS ribbed NATO in grey, it suits the watch perfectly. In fact, I have the matching grey NATO for my '76 snowflake, and it suits that too.
How about a blue Bonetto Cinturini rubber nato from watch gecko
https://www.watchgecko.com/products/...-tactical-blue
All the hardware is on springbars so can be converted to single pass if you don’t want the extra nato flap.
I’ll stick one on mine and post a pic.
Edit - here you go. Comparison of colour. Don’t be misled by the length, I’ve cut mine down to size so they come longer.

Those straps are ace Matt, I have been have them for a while.
Makes me want another FXD now
What’s the general wait times for these at the moment from AD?
I never liked the original Pelagos but I love this one.
Purely because of its singularity of purpose and practical design.
I dont speak French but can understand a lot of this video.
What they are doing is the watery equivalent of what we did when marching on a bearing.
Before we went map reading we would measure how many paces it took us cover exactly 100m.
Then march on a bearing counting off the paces.
They are using time to indicate how long it takes them to swim a set distance while heading on a bearing (having worked out swimming distance by time instead of by paces).
Yes not one of us will need to do this of course.
Unless I am missing something the military divers watch seems to have the full 4 dial lines, might the 2 lines been on a prototyp?

I would have thought that a promo video for Tudor would want to show the watch the punter will be buying in the shop. Not the one that he or she can’t.
Here is an interesting article by the same journalist you can choose English.
I expect they switch over from the tethering strap when necessary as seen.

First thing to remember: never say “combat diver” in the presence of a member of the Hubert commando, that does not exist! The correct term is “combat swimmer”. No one plays on words, it's not a joke. Understanding this term even explains the main particularity of the Pelagos FXD: it is a combat swimmer's watch, it is not a diver's watch... according to the official criteria of the ISO 6425 standard (read our article for All you need to know about water resistance of diving watches ).
I hope this applies to all the watches.
The Tudor manufacture has placed its caliber MT5206 at the heart of the Pelagos FXD. This automatic movement is certified by the very serious Swiss Official Chronometer Testing Institute (COSC). Tudor goes even further than the COSC tolerance (-4/+6 seconds per day) since it internally imposes on its calibers a rate difference of between -2 and +4 seconds. Combine this performance with an amagnetic silicon hairspring. Add a “weekend proof” power reserve of 70 hours. And you have the assurance that the Pelagos FXD has a caliber to match. In other words: foolproof.
Did anyone post this one?
There is a new better buckle system.
Other options as well good for fixed lugs.
I posted photos of an original MN in the other thread on straps.

One of these Bark & Jack NATO's arrived in the post today. I'm really enjoying this combo already.

It would be nice to see some more strap options you are using.
I have a FXD arriving tommorow, I have ordered a 22mm CNS paratrooper in the green and yellow original colourway.
They had sold out of 21mm or I would have bought that seeing as that was the original strap size from back in the day.
I have some standard black and grey NATOS to try it on as well.
