Eddie on a Chasing Time podcast

Just noticed that Eddie was a guest on a Chasing Time podcast.

I have no affiliation with the podcast.

We need a wrist-shot of the PRS-40 chrono on the fancy strap.

Thanks for sharing this. I am glad I spotted this post. From the audio podcast it sounds like the interview was originally conducted with video, and Eddie was showing some of his watches? I enjoyed the audio interview, but video of Eddie sharing his collection would be fantastic.

Call me weird but I find this podcast quite relaxing..like a child listening to his mom/dad read a bedtime story

I listened to it yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed it. Eddie came across as a very humble and interesting person with a great dry sense of humour.

I love his accent, I thought I was listening to an episode of John Shuttleworth at times and half expected Ken Worthington to appear.

    Cheers, Shaun

Now is the golden time for Timefactors' Smiths, Precista etc. once Eddie sells up to a bigger player and retires to the Bahamas will it be like when Rick Marei left Doxa??

Absolutely love that and I agree Our Host's humility and passion for watches comes through.

As with all the other members who have replied, I found it very interesting to hear Eddie's personal story and learn more about his watch history. I think we can all be grateful that his brave gamble with the Speedbird 1 paid off so handsomely!

He should feel proud that so many people really appreciate him and his work.

I found it interesting to hear answers to 2 of his banking security questions

    Great podcast episode!

Enjoyed the Chasing Time podcast episode. Interesting learning about Eddie, who came off as being humble, hard working, with a good sense of humor. And, his voice is calming -- it would be great listening to an audio book read by Eddie.

Personally, I am grateful that his gamble with the Speedbird 1 paid off, and now I want a Speedbird III PRS-22 with the PRS-1 dial.

Bloody hell Eddie, you don't sound anything like I thought that you would. I thought you would sound like a cantankerous old git, but it seems to be far from reality

What a great listen that was. I’ve learnt more about Eddie in that half hour than in the 12 odd years I’ve been on the forum.

I've been on the forum for nearly double that time and all I've known... was about this guy who had been in the military and liked British watches and made one (which I thought was boring) and was planning to make some more different ones. He also had a website selling Zeno and Laco and some great nato straps. And then Precista came along and then Smiths... the rest is history. I don't even know what he looks like. He has hairy arms tho.

Haha. The podcast has had to change it's name to 'beyondhorologypodcast' now because 'chasing time' is the same name as Alistair's (ATG-Vintage) book.
In case anyone can't find it.
