Maybe just some or better regulation of their activities.
It's difficult for me to plan too far ahead so I used to buy on the secondary market closer to the date but I've heard that's been banned. Is that the case?
For example, I've just checked the Foo Fighters listing and they're on Viagogo which I thought was a secondary reseller.
Maybe just some or better regulation of their activities.
I've had tickets through Viagogo in the past, and on the printoff there was a facsimile of the original ticket order with the original buyers name and address on it. So maybe they get around it by acting as an intermediary between the original buyer and yourself rather than an actual reseller, and "only" charging the original ticket price plus their exorbitant administration costs. Nebulous and shady for sure, but could that be the loophole they use?

Thanks both, not sure.
I will have a mooch about the T&Cs to see if I can uncover what's happening.
There was definitely some legislation as it's on the government site so I assumed it was no longer permitted.
I've not needed to try it yet, but there are options for selling concert tickets for the original price paid via Ticketmaster. These days I tend to just buy tickets and hope for the best as I don't think there would be much of a problem shifting them for sell-out gigs.

Whilst we're on the subject, gotta love the Foo Fighters.

The Foos are just legendary. I was at their (in)famous gig in the tent at Reading 1995 and it’s an experience I’ll never forget.
Dave Grohl’s letter to Cornwall Council is great too :) - https://www.nme.com/news/music/dave-grohl-6-1200299?amp
Interestingly I’ve just had an email saying Foo Fighter tickets go on sale at 9am Tomorrow for the concerts next year.

^Utterly joyous. Love it!
some great Foo footage there.
Twickets are probably the most honest reseller site and approved by lots of bands pre-tour for resale. I've bought lots off of that site and they have to be list or lower and the tickets are loaded onto the site and transferred very quickly.
I've had loads of clashing gigs due to Corona so have offloaded a few and the Ticketmaster facility to resell via them works quite well too.
Ticketswap is another that I've used for sold out gigs; don't appear to be as expensive as viagogo for selling price, or fees.
I have bought and sold concert tickets many times through viagogo and it works perfectly well. It’s a great site if you have a ticket to an event you can no longer attend or one of your friends bails, or when you need a last minute ticket. In most cases it’s straight forward. However, on a few rare occasions I’ve had to meet the ticket seller (or ticket buyer) at the venue and go in with them because IDs were checked at the door and the original purchaser was expected to be there. These requirements were clearly marked. And sometimes tickets to certain events are completely banned on viagogo, so won’t be available for sale at all.
Me too!
Never seen them live! Sooo excited!!!!

Have you seen this?
It is bittersweet.
Very pleased that he is strong enough to do it.
Dave is a legend, but this girl is something else!
