Sell a watch in the UK

    Hi All,
I wonder if anyone could suggest companies in the UK like Watchfinder to whom sell a luxury swiss watch?

Second hand dealers I guess I can call them.

    Thanks!!!

    Try:

    Chronext
    Blowers
    swisswatchtrader.co.uk
    watchtrader.co.uk

I warn you now, in my experience they'll all be in the same ballpark price wise (if they want to buy it at all)

Go and spend an afternoon in Hatton Garden and see what offers you get. I went there to sell some family jewellery and it was an experience. Got the best price from a dealer in a shop full of similar market style traders. The bigger dealers in the main offered the worst prices.

I assumed he wanted names in addition to Watchfinder - to compare multiple quotes

Give them a call, the shop is having a re-fit so currently closed.
Still operating online. No fuss or trying to lower the price once they have made an offer in my experience.

Have you tried looking at Micheal Matthews in Bournemouth or Bramlys Salisbury

Yes, I tried Watchfinder and the quote was lower than expected, although perhaps not too unfair considering they have to earn a margin on it and keep the watch in inventory for who knows how long - this isn't a Rolex Sub.

Thank you for this - slightly better quote than Watchfinder in fact.

Had a good experience posting to Watchfinder last week on a seamaster 300 and they paid out middle of their valuation very quickly.
No affiliation but I’d use again.

Got a quote recently from Watchfinder for an early 2000s JLC Master Control Perpetual Calendar. Looking on chrono24 they are selling for 8-10k+ so quite a variance. I was pleasantly surprised with their offer as it was more than I had expected and much more than a couple of other dealers I enquired with.

Never in a million years would I deal with Parkers (after my wife’s lost watch ended up for sale on their site).

Watchfinder, however, always a smooth transaction.

Not affiliated with them but I'd recommend Time 4 People in Rickmansworth

I've sold a 16570 and a 16710 to them and they paid top money. What I can say is they prefer completely original watches, I.e. no service dials etc and full set and good condition
