    I can just remember being taken to Club Row market in the mid 70’s by my uncle, Club Row was London’s live animal market, quite shocking now but they were different times.

    Enjoyed that.

    Apart from the hideous carbuncles like the Shard, Walkie talkie etc it is amazing how little of London has changed over the years.

    This is an accent you struggle to find today be it in the east end or Essex, some nice schmutter on show though.

    My dear old Mum's chat was full of rhyming slang.

    The rhyming slang is still with us, as is the accent in the older generations but I’d say the distinct cockney and south and west London accents is certainly disappearing in the younger generations and replaced with a more homogenous London one.
