    A fortunate woman

You are a fortunate woman to share so fully in a man's success...

    Thank you Omega

Haha, I can't wait until my very empowered other half wakes up!

The thing is, the time is passed when high-precision used to be a male prerogative. Knowledgeable women know this fact of life.

Fortunately, now she can own a watch as fabulous as yours...

    Brilliant!

But below, is without doubt, my favourite watch advertisement (ever!)

    Wear it tenderly

As may be, but the lady's Omega watch will still be keeping time as faithfully on the day he gave it to her, with a smile and a kiss.

He wants you to wear it proudly and tenderly, for always. Because he wants every fleeting second to remind you of his love, and of the dreams you share.

You should always give it to her with a smile and a kiss. It keeps her happy.

I am reminded of the old saying:

    "How do ladies get mink?"

"The same way mink get mink"

I hope that there are some stereotypically pragmatic Australian watch adverts around.

Something like " Wanna look flash and then get your hand chopped off? Buy a Rolex".

Or maybe a campaign similar to the ones in that Robin Williams film, Crazy People

    "Casio - Boxy, but good!"

It's easy to laugh at adverts from times gone by - There are plenty around recommending cigarettes for the health of your lungs!

I wonder if, in 50 years time, they'll laugh at the way politicians used to be able to lie to get elected?

I think it’s great that the Seiko logo on ads of this era looks like a modern Durex logo.

sexist it may be but every woman I know would look at that advertisement and say that the watch is no where near as complicated as they are and they would also say that they are rarely ever on time, especially for a night out. Most, if not all, would also say that men are as complicated as a Casio digital watch. So I guess that they're all sexist as well. Strange how the world works.

Perhaps an Eterna-Matic would be of interest?

It now keeps the ladies on time and up to date.

    I think that covers it

A google search suggests it’s a fake ad but there are some belters that do exist

    Probably my favourite 'risque' commercial:

Mildly NSF: contains a minor swear (bo110ck5) multiple times.

That's clever of Omega to create a line especially for high-class escorts, it's a gap in the market other brands have missed. Though I'm sure Rolex could come up with something suitable at a push...
