The biggest thing I notice is that all the people ‘not playing the Rolex game’ keep reminding everyone on every Rolex thread that they aren’t playing it. It’s like their life long crusade. That said, the Rolex threads would be sparse without them.

It's like people who have gave up smoking, they bleet more than the non smokers about smokers and the smell of smoke!

and there are even dumber people who get caught out by selling a Rolex that then rockets in price leaving a bitter taste…

Jokes aside, course they are worth it, if people buy at the price then they believe that purchase is viable, as a watch for use as a watch no they are not worth it but its far more than the material value, kudos has a price as does satisfaction, any product that sells for an artificial inflated price generally has way more about it than its sum of parts - Hermes Birkin or Kelly anyone?

It would be interesting if the sellers of the Daytonas on SC would weigh them. We could then get a good idea of toughly how much gold there is in a Daytona.
