Great result for Leeds who are 9 points clear and beating Watford helped us - all round good result.

If Spurs can win they are in the boss seat.

Yes Spurs could lose though and United can start to believe they still have a chance.

    Eh ?
Utd have only one chance of the Top 4 and that is no chance .
They are comfortably the worst of the chasing pack . No cohesion, no threat , a terrible defence and a clueless man in charge .
    Long May it continue .

Getting the points on the board is crucial but Burnley should get three points tomorrow and then it’s as we were. Apart from Brentford (who should lose tomorrow) dropping into the mix.

Arsenal - it's the hope that kills you.

    Painful.

    Superb again today .
It’s almost like they think they are playing against City .

Perhaps in the second half... Would never have believed that final score at half time. Sonsational!

We’ve hit a good run of form at the right time. I’d like to think we have a decent chance of fourth place now, but we still have a few tricky games to come.

What’s the score with Kulusevski ? Is he on loan with an option to buy ?
    He’s a talent , that’s for sure .

Yes, you can regard it as a done deal. What a signing, though, and just 21.

Unreal from Spurs. A few games ago they were dead and buried and Arsenal were supposedly shoo-ins for Top 4. Now Spurs are very much in the driving seat.

As an Arsenal fan I of course remained humble and downplayed the chances of Arsenal getting Top 4 so as not to look silly.....

Haha... well, I did warn you more than once. It can still all turn on it’s head again so best none of us start crowing about current/relative positions, eh?

PS I still remember the season you won your last thirteen to overhaul us. That one hurt.

He came from Juve, actually, and Spurs have already indicated that it's a done deal (as it is with Romero, who's presently with us on the same basis). Both will be secured on permanent contracts for next season.

And a source of extreme frustration for me as my closest competitor in the Fantasy Premier League had brought him into to his team about a month ago. He and Havertz have meant I now only have a United in top four chance of catching him!

    Come on Norwich - booootiful.

Can’t be bothered with it, so watching Brentford v West Ham instead.

Good game but City need to work on their finishing - should have been 5-2 to City

Just got back from the game. Agree with that assessment. Why Pep plays Sterling when he misses so many chances is a mystery. Enthralling first half. Second half a bit more scrappy

Bottom line is the league now on our hands but not in Liverpool’s. However we will drop points. And had we won we would have had the buffer. With a forward we would have had 4 or 5 goals.

I think with Liverpools harder fixtures this could take the pressure off them. If it's in their hands that just adds pressure.

Liverpool were poor today, the midfield didn’t win a second ball and our passing was well off especially in the first half.

Really lucky to get away with a draw, City on another day could have had a couple more goals.

At least it makes for an exciting run in though, the best team over the year will end up winning…..

Liverpool lucky today. Bag of nerves and couldn't string a pass together in the first half.

From the sofa it appeared G. Jesus was a little selfish on a couple of occasions - taking a shot when a short pass looked the better option.

On the balance of the whole game, Liverpool were lucky to get away with a draw as City murdered them in the first half.

I can see Spurs getting 4th now, another poor game from Arsenal. The difference will come down to strikers, Spurs have Kane and Son who are both exceptional, Arsenal have Laca and Nketiah who are both average if that, and that's being kind on Nketiah. If we don't sign a decent forward and central midfielder in the summer we will not get top 4 again next season. I would sell Partney as well, he had a few good games this season but since we signed him he has been poor or injured, plus he is on a high salary.

For now lets just play for 5th and try win the Europa league.

Great game yesterday thoroughly enjoyable for the neutral but equally depressing that Utd wont get to them levels anytime soon!!!

City were and are exceptional and should of been out of sight at half time but you have to give Liverpool immense credit as they were excellent 2nd half and I think the draw was the fair result and I had a few quid on the 2-2 at 11/1

Regards the chasing pack I thought Spurs would get 4th just due to the quality of kane and son and ive maintained put them in any of the chasing pack and I think youd get 4th they really are a top drawer partnership

Heating up down the bottom though now with everyone bar Burnley down there picking up wins

That was always going to happen after Thursday's exertions with 10 men for 45 minutes. Brentford are a good team.

    Second leg this Thursday.

Our small squad will always struggle with all these games.

Perhaps Moyes could have put out some second stringers yesterday although he would have probably been slaughtered if he had.
    Cheers,

No chance Real Madrid will beat Man City. Chelsea only lost because that donkey Lukaku missed a sitter in the 1st leg and Chelsea's forwards in the 2nd leg weren't clinical enough.

City would do Real by 4 goals over 2 legs

And Watford (beaten 3-0 by Leeds).

It was a good weekend for both Leeds and Everton in their struggles for premiership survival.

Man City v Real Madrid would be a hard one to call. City undoubtedly should cruise to a win on form, paper, age of squad and any other comparison for that matter.

However I am a big believer that experience and heritage play a massive part in fixtures this late into this competition and on that front Real Madrid would be overwhelming favourites.
