Sinn UX battery change & oil refill

Curious if anyone has tried doing their own refill/battery change on oil-filled watches like the Sinn UX?
Or if any U.K. based repairers might be willing to give it a try?
    Cheers
    Steve
(Last time I sent one to Sinn it was away 8 weeks and cost €270, I’m hearing tales of woe of customs delays as well now)

I know it takes a while Steve but why would you want to bodge it? I sent mine back in April, it was a bit of a pain customs wise but I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

What oil would you use to refill the watch?
I would send it back to Sinn. At least these have a 10 year battery in them. (I think)

Send it through TWR and you’ll have fewer issues, or should I say any issues become theirs not yours.

Thanks - I didn’t know TWR had been appointed by Sinn, that’s helpful advice.

They service all Sinns in house, except the oil filled, so I used them to get mine to Germany and back, which they did cheaply and efficiently.
