Good Lord, what a mess!
I had to vent this somewhere so apologies in advance…..
It was drawn to my attention last night that there had been some “changes” within my company structure.
After some investigation 3 of the 4 directors have been removed, one now with 100% stakehold, and our registered address is now at a flat in London!!!
I cannot believe Companies House has allowed this to happen, a downloadable form was filled in by hand with my signature forged and posted in to change the registered address, according to them this form is taken “in good faith” and the new address added, the scum have then changed our activation code and made all the changes electronically!
What a complete nightmare, as if I don’t have enough to deal with.
I’m told they have a “proof” system you can sign up for to avoid this, they kept that quiet, I cannot stress enough you should all do this straight away to avoid this happening to you!
Rant over
Good Lord, what a mess!
Blimey!
What would be the purpose of doing this though?

Companies House - they even call us "Customers" now...............
Twats!
Proof system has been active for some time, our accountant recommended many years ago
Do it online at Companies House if you are registered for online filing :

Thanks for highlighting that... very easy to do.
I had this happen with my council tax, strangely. Suddenly started getting payment demands at my address for someone with a completely different name. Had a refund on my CT appear in my bank statement, checked on my online account with the council and there had been a "change of address" where I had allegedly told them I had moved out of my house!
All sorted after a call to the council but still not sure what the endgame was for the person that undertook this "scam".
I am pretty sure my identity was stolen via the public information on directors that is available from Companies House. It has not caught up with the security quagmire of the modern Internet.
