    Just opened package this morning. Lovely, unmolested 980. Very pleased.
    Don't know why I'm cleaning the pool, tomorrow looks horrible!

    After a couple of weeks wearing my Seiko MM300, I felt like a change, and as it's been a while, I reached for the Speedy, which is on the superb Uncle Seiko 1171 bracelet. This is better quality by some distance than the Omega 1171/1 reissue.

    Here it is in "Speedy Corner" below some Speedmaster artwork on the wall and above my Lego model of the Apollo XI Lunar lander Eagle.

    Stay safe and enjoy your watches!

    What movement is in these?
    It’s one of the most convincing reissues I have seen, especially in this picture.

    Hi. It is a Sellita SW510 Manual Movement. I have it on a Forstner Klip bracelet. Full specs here;

    Wow, now I'm not normally the biggest fan of these Seamaster chronographs, but that looks incredible! So what's the story, did you buy it NOS or have you been storing it those 17 years?

    Cheers, I got it about 3 weeks ago as part of a motorbike sale.… I wasn’t going to bother with it but then I saw it in the flesh. The owner had stored it in his safe since 2003/4 in its original box and jewellers bag as it was bought for him by his now exwife.. He wore it once from new. He couldn’t understand why his wife had got him a nice watch since he did a manual job. Ungrateful sod.
    Rather lovely isn’t it:) . Service time is booked with Duncan and then it really will be like new :)

    Thank you earlofsodbury, just got it a couple of days ago, and I must say I'm very pleased with it. A slightly better pic on "incoming" thread

    Cheers. I have to say of all the watches I've owned (and there has been a few pass through these hands!) I genuinely feel the Nivada offers cracking value. I don't regret a penny paid for it
