Driller Killer.
All I can say is that watch is absolutely hoofing.
Date feature is a hole lot of fun. Hands, wrong? case seems iffy. Is anything CWC?
It is so bad I'm tempted to buy it.
And he cannot spell ...
"Well they would say that ... wouldn't they!"
3 bidders and a £79.00 sale.
The 1983 medium Fatboy case would have been of use to someone even if the dial, hands, crystal and replacement movement were only fit for the bin.
Always worth looking at these listings to see if anything is of use.
So the case and back alone are worth £79.00 possibly more?
What if you owned a 1983 G10 and the case was in poor condition or even worse, damaged. You cannot just go out and buy another case, so you look for a donor watch. A nice fully working 1983 medium Fatboy will cost the best part of £300, so paying £80 for a case in good condition seems worthwhile in that scenario.
A lot of people who own watches of that age and older will scramble around for a certain part, just look at the vintage Rolex and Speedmaster guys willing to pay heavily for the correct insert etc.
I agree as a watch to wear, that listing was just horrible and no one in their right mind would, but sometimes there might be something in the package which is of use.
Maybe an attempt to pull them out and replace them with spring bars?
