Strap Recommendation Please: Rubber for a Seamaster 2265.80 Blue Dial

I like to think I'm pretty clued-up on rubber straps and sellers but I'm stumped for a rubber for my new SMP300 electric blue. I think an Isofrane-style would be best but I'm not paying those prices for a new one as I've bought them before and haven't been sufficiently impressed.

In my experience the Borealis straps are fantastic but they've been sold out for months and months.

Any thoughts on what would be best? Any experience? Any pics to help me?

Budget? Not Isofrane prices. Max of £70 but ideally less than £50.

    TIA.

    Oh, this is the watch...

Have you considered a Scurfa watches rubber strap? I have a couple and IMO they are the most comfortable rubber strap out there, do not require much (if any) breaking in. Great quality at a good price.

If memory serves me correctly they offer a couple of shades of blue but also other colours if you're not looking to match the dial.

I’ve been thinking about similar for my 2254 but I would really like curved ends.

These look good but are a bit out of budget though.

They look great but fortunately for me based on cost the blue is too bright.

You might just have cracked it!! They are excellent and you've reminded me that my brother has one of mine that I must get back.

UPDATE: Black and Cobalt Blue ordered

It will and I'll be ordering one, just got to find the right one. Eddie's navy blue would have been perfect but they're sold out.

Whilst I was cleaning the bracelet I had it on one of Senraw's bleached blue Phoenix natos and it looked excellent IMO.

Straps could be ideal for the hot, sticky, heat, but is there too much ‘blue’ about at the moment? It seems everywhere. And ive got a blue one too. What’s next? Fashions change.

The trouble with fashions is that, they are fashions. That means ‘in’ and ‘out’ all too quickly. I haven’t a clue what comes next. I’d probably go for a military khaki grey/green. NATO style.

My 2265.80 (with 2254 bezel) on a black Benetto Cinturini 300D.
Love these straps & have in black, dark navy, grey & olive green - I usually upgrade the pressed metal clasp to a nice milled one (from china via ebay!).
You won't go wrong with one if these - can get from watchgecko, but cheaper & more colour options available at watchbandcenter.

Just had a look in my strap drawer and found this.

I think it look great and compliments my new Speedmaster. The strap is either a bit tight or too loose so I will see how I get on over the weekend and maybe order a Scurfa or Benetto strap on Monday.

    Cheers, Shaun

I have to say I’m a real convert to tropic straps. A blue one is about £75 (I got mine off sales corner) and it’s the most comfortable rubber strap I have worn.

I found an old picture of my auto version on the Omega rubber (which looks like a leather strap) and Omega deployant:

Although I think it is best in the bracelet to be honest

Sold this for ¥120,000 (£750~ today, less at the time) which may have been a mistake

How about a Hirsch Paul strap? Rubber inner, leather outer?

Really comfy..I wore one on a Planet Ocean....In fact, it looked identical to the original Omega strap that was on it...much cheaper than Omega of course !

It looks better in its original state. I'd leave it alone.
